As a former Squadron Senior NCO, here is WHAT I understand. If my subordinates as well as myself are deployed to a combat zone, WHY I'm there is NOT open to discussion. Doing the job, completing the assigned mission with NO casualties is the primary thing on my mind. That all fine and good for people serving. However, as country, we need to be having a debate/discussion about a mission that has obviously failed (by any standard). How many more years do we need to put troops in harm's way to accomplish this mission? You keep repeating this as a fact, even though there wasn't an IC consensus about this and there are reasonable alternative explanations for the money being paid to the Taliban that actually jive with Russian strategic interests. |

You still aren't seeing how Greg on one hand is all butt hurt that Trump didn't protect them then in the very next instance demands that Trump do something that would put them in even more danger? You can't see the contradiction? Put them in more danger how? Instead of getting shot in the head once, by your line of logic, they run the risk of getting shot in the head TWICE. You make NO sense at all. Greg JFC, I've already explained this to you: "Russia is going to respond. They are going to start increasing the funding to anti-American elements in Afghanistan and other areas, as well as become more directly involved. That means our troops end up staying even longer. That means they would be in even more danger. That means that even more American troops would die." |
