Those responses positively shriek with the fear that you are projecting into others. I know you can't see that, but that is what it is. Irrational fear in the face of real issues over which you feel powerless. Hell ya there is fear there and it isn't irrational. These assholes completely closed down society and crashed the economy. There is no denying that. Millions of people had their rights violated and were classified as nonessential. They had no right to go out and make a living to support themselves or their families. Nonessential, as in not needed. It's fucking disgusting. All over a disease that is mostly harmless to the vast majority of people that it infects. There is no emergency. There is no need for these emergency declarations. You've been had. Let's see now. Hospitals are jammed to capacity in large urban areas. People are waiting for hours in line to get tested. Nearly 130,000 dead in less than four months. Big Fat nothing burger? Not hardly. Greg

People are waiting to get tested because that's what they've been programmed to do. 130,000 dead...80 % over the age of 65 with multiple health conditions. 130,000 people that were about to die from something else. Big fat nothing burger. 1.5 million people die around the world from TB every year. Another 2 million from pneumonia which is caused by a variety of respiratory diseases. An estimated 500K die from flu around the world each year. We don't shutdown the world over any of that.

Doctors? Nurses? Police officers? Would you like to know WHY the governor of Texas is reclosing quite a few public venues? How about Florida and Arizona? Greg

We don't know if she will be so lucky. This isn't a game. This is life and death for too many. It didn't have to be this way. But it is, largely because the virus is deadly, and our national leadership failed us. Remember that come November.

I more concerned that a leftist is going to become President and pursue a national lock down with martial law. Another example of irrational fear running rampant. Bwaaa hahaha. The “shut down civilization and place everybody on house arrest” crowd is pointing fingers and saying the Others have “irrational fear”.

Flattening the curve and proceeding cautiously is not a display of irrational fear. On the other hand, burying one's head in the sand and then emitting muffled cries about tyranny? That is an expression of impotent, irrational fear.

There is another statistic that the right wingers are ignoring. That is, the number of people that had it, recovered, but now have long term health problems because of it. I've mentioned previously my wife's cousin who had it, nearly died but made it. He now has kidney failure problems as a result. I'm also hearing that young people that get it are recovering with lung problems. This is no joke. Greg

That’s silly to think of that as tyranny. I’m just being silly. Watch out for the virus, bama! It’s coming back for round 2!!

Recognizing that the giving those same people that did that or support that even more power on a national level would be even more of a disaster is not irrational.

This has nothing to do with what he asked. Also, I’d have to be sick to infect other people. What amazing powers you give to this once-in-a-millennium virus.

While that doesn't answer my question but lets take a look anyways: Interesting it also includes (formers and retireds, you know old people who weren't emergency personnel any longer, clearly no attempt manipulate public opinion at all): Roughly: 50 Cops 35 Firefighters 30 EMT's That's it? I would have figured with how dangerous this is we would have had thousands.

And with this virus, you may not even know you're sick. THAT is the problem. Greg Read the “epidemiological evidence” section for presymptomatic and asymptomatic transmission. “Most of the evidence is from China”. Then they have one example from Germany and one from Singapore. That’s it. wwwnc.cdc.gov/eid/article/26/7/20-1595_articleNow, they don’t know if those other individuals outside China were actually exposed somewhere else. They don’t know. One would think there would be more. The WHO recently said that asymptomatic transmission is “very rare”. They then walked that back a bit. Probably to at the pressure of governments around the world looking to avoid the guillotine.

Not only might you not know that you are sick but if you do end up feeling sick you are most likely going to have the sniffles for a few days. Horrible! We all gonna die! And those who get it from those infected carriers might have the same horrendous experience! Probably death. Trillions will die.

You cherry picked sections of the article, and the joke is on you, they don't support your contention that community prevention measures are completely unnecessary and a violation of American freedom.
Here's what the article YOU linked to has to say:
In conclusion, recommending that community interventions (mask wearing, social distancing, sheltering in place, etc) be relaxed is premature and could well lead to setting the pandemic out of control.
Already the EU is very close to banning the travel into Europe by persons from America, due to our poor record on controlling the pandemic.
Chew on that before you jump to another false conclusion.
