Last night I started re-watching an American Experience four hour documentary on Bill Clinton.
I forgot how good it was.
It's in two parts. I watched the first two hour part last night, and am fixing to watch the second two hour part.
Bill Clinton was indeed a remarkable president. Like him or not, he was one of a kind.

Life long fan of the French national team, especially Zidane. No kidding? Thierry Henry is one of my all time favorite players. Thuram, Makelele, Kante, Vieira, Deschamps, even Platini. I've always followed Les Bleus. |

It's not so much that I am a fan, in fact I can't stand football longer than how long it takes me to find the remote and change channels but I am French and you're not. Plus Americans are not known to follow stuff that isn't American, as a rule. |

I didn't even know that there were doping scandals! You're more French than me!  Actually, as you might have guessed I am not much into watching sports. I much prefer to practice them myself. You'd be surprised at how many I've tried. Swimming (I can do the four swim strokes), horse riding, windsurfing, hockey on grass (aka field hockey)... to name only a few. |

Been watching "Dr. Zhivago", which I recorded onto a DVD a few months ago (I think!). What a great classic movie. More than 3 hours long, but with wonderful music and acting. About 30 minutes left now, had to take a break.

This evening (2-18-23) the local PBS station here played a good movie, "The King's Speech". It chronicles how Prince Albert, manages to conquer his stuttering with the help of an unlicensed but very talented speech therapist, and eventually become King when his brother, King Edward, abdicated in 1936 in order to marry the American Mrs. Simpson.
