I can't read the posts as there's too much smug in the air. Will ANYONE on my side if the aisle at least attempt to acknowledge the validity of Rabbit's point? Anyone? Weighing the cost of the effects of a lockdown more heavily than the savings in slowing the spread of Covid, does not mean he wants to kill Granny. This isn't an all or nothing situation. Perhaps acknowledging that we dodged a bullet and that lockdowns have very real non-contagion adverse effects would be a start?
I don't think lockdowns would be effective at this point. The time for that has came and went. I will listen to the experts though. Rabbit doesn't have a point since Biden has said he's not locking the country down. The president doesn't really have the power to do that (directly) anyway.
You do realize that Biden specifically said he would do a national lock down if advised to do so right? We've been discussing his statement for months now and you for some reason believe he said the exact opposite? Holy shit. 🤦♂️ |
