Says freonbale, who refuses to justify an assertion about Jesus as Messiah, because his opinion is "what he was always taught." I don't even understand what you just accused me of, lol. Instead of speaking Christian, can you please speak English. Freon What you always accuse me of—only holding opinions that “I was taught.” That’s your response when it comes to the Messiah question, no? What you believe is what you were taught to believe, but look it up on Google because you haven’t memorized the passages? Something like that?

I stand by my statement. You can look up web sites to your heart's content, but you will remain naive. Freon Are you shocked? Why would I be shocked? Freon

Why would I be shocked? Freon "I would be shocked if that was the view of other scientists." Yes, so why would I be shocked, lol? You think you can just look up a web site, and that represents how the scientific community views that topic? That's naive on top of naive. You do not possess the knowledge or skill to be able to find the answer you are looking for. You are demonstrating the Dunning-Krueger effect. You don't know how much you don't know. If you did, you would be humbled. Freon

As for "finding the answer I was looking for," I certainly did, didn't I? It was easy to find. Because I already knew about it. You said you'd be shocked if it was the view of other scientists. It is. Here's some more help: "Theoretical physicist Michio Kaku said, “The human brain has 100 billion neurons, each neuron connected to 10,000 other neurons. Sitting on your shoulders is the most complicated object in the known universe.”" today.uconn.edu/2018/03/complicated-object-universe/en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Michio_KakuHe's a scientist. Does he count? Shocked yet? Here's an idea...find Michio Kaku's contact info, look him up, and tell him he's wrong.

Go ahead. Resist me. Freon Still deflection. Because once again, you see in me a reflection of yourself. All the things you accuse me of...you do them. Then, when caught, you just deflect and try to change the subject. More games. But, see, I haven't lost track of the conversation. So...in light of these games and your conversation with your mirror image, it's your own pridefulness you're addressing.

So would someone who is an ACTUAL devout Christian, please answer my question. What is the lure of Jesus? Why is having Jesus involved superior to just believing in G-d? What made you choose that path, when it seems like there are many inconsistencies in the Jesus story you also have to believe, to call Jesus your savior.
Remember, I'm Jewish, so for me, I just believe in G-d. Super simple. Going the Jesus route seems MUCH more complicated to me, and I respect that you went that way, but I'm just trying to understand why that is more appealing than simply believing in G-d, and following all G-d's rules, most of which are identical to Jesus'.
The only person I refuse to listen to on this subject is Mercy, who clearly has no practical religious knowledge or experience at all.

You'll never get a better one.

Freon You seem to want stories of personal experience, of which I have many, but I will not subject them to your mockery. Suffice it to say, my epistemological journey is informed by experiential and emotional tributaries in addition to intellect and reason. Arguably, these are thalwegs compared to conscious, rational endeavour.

From someone who actually went through the experience. If it takes a whole story to answer my question, I suppose that is fine. I'm not sure why it would, though, I'm just asking for an opinion.
