I mean, besides voting Trump out in November.
The mail carrier on my block is a very nice Asian lady who used to own a house down the block, She had bought it and started fixing it up - the nicest driveway on the block. I guess she was trying to flip it. She wound up selling it after a few years; don't think she made much $$, because she's still carrying the mail.
I spoke with her the other day about the current turmoil, and her response was a bit stressed. I got the distinct impression that all is not well at the PO.
So now with Trump and his lackey actively making life more difficult than it needs to be for postal workers, I'm wonder what an average citizen can do to help them out.
Any suggestions?

Just talked with my sister in Cleveland. She's a postal worker. She says they've taken out several mail sorting machines and mail is stacked up everywhere. She also told me when a carrier calls in sick, no replacement is put in place to take over the route so mail just doesnt get delivered that day. The postal union is pissed.

while destroying the USPS in the process.
Stop using FedEx or UPS.
Stop paying bills online.
Only use the USPS. Take a stand.

As I understand it, operationally, the Postal Service breaks even.
It's the unusual pension funding requirement that puts it into the red. It's up to Congress to change that law, but for some reason (Republicans?) it hasn't. I understand a workable change could be enacted to keep the service solvent and fund retirement.

Lomelissa seems to be laboring under the delusion that what is flooding our mailboxes with garbage is the result of government regulation. It's not. It's the result of commercial private interests forcing the post office to process bulk mail. Just like commercial advertising that floods our broadcast commercial TV and radio. You know where you can get away from that garbage? On public tv and radio. Like PBS and NPR.
