I think a better question is if you recognize the obvious reality, consequences, and results of your proposal as extreme then why propose it? Perhaps you aren't thinking things through? Using and supporting the USPS is extreme? Since when? No. This is extreme: "Stop using FedEx or UPS. Stop paying bills online. Only use the USPS. Take a stand. EDIT: And never vote Republican." Stop using services even if they might provide be more efficient and provide cost savings. Stop using a more advanced system that eliminates waste, is more efficient, and is better for the environment. ONLY using one system even when others might be better. Never voting for someone associated with a political party without taking into account the politician's actual agenda. Those are the words of an extremist.

Have you tried to get a passport lately? Doesn't matter. Thanks to Trump, you can't go anywhere anyway. He's destroying the postal service like he did his casino's. Make you happy? Greg Business competition and technological advancements are increasingly making the USPS an obsolete and unnecessary service. The horse and buggy is going away. You're stuck in the past. And who made the decision to destroy the U.S. postal service? You have any say? Greg

And who made the decision to destroy the U.S. postal service? You have any say? Greg Probably has to do with more people choosing to use online systems that are cheaper, more efficient, quicker, more convenient, and don't require cutting down forests? Yes Greg I do have a say. I haven't sent anything via USPS in years now. 99% of the stuff I receive via USPS is garbage.

It's used every day by people that need it, like me and thousands of businesses. Trump is destroying it and has a guy in charge with a vested interest in killing it. Even YOU can see that. Greg

Using the old "not everyone can get I.D" narrative now and applying it to the P.O? Last I checked the P.O. is still open and doing business even for thsoe that don't have access to a computer which in this day and age probably amounts to 5 people. Really? You hear about that letter the post office boss sent out to 46 States? Greg

Greg Stop being a moron and think before responding for a change. When I say "more people are choosing" that obviously means that I am saying there is an increase. That does not mean that EVERYBODY is using it. Ultimately Greg the USPS is going away. It will continue to shrink and eventually it will no longer be in use. The best thing that could happen is that competitors be allowed to handle first class mail, standard mail, and access to mail boxes.

Multiple states received communications from the USPS general counsel outlining standard mail delivery times and prices leading up to the November election and warning secretaries of state that election laws established by the states would not necessarily guarantee that mail-in ballots will be received in time to be counted. The letters predate President Donald Trump’s most recent attacks on mail-in voting, including on Thursday when he said he opposed giving billions in funding to the postal service because doing so would allow increased mail-in voting. The changes are a result of previously planned cost-cutting measures, put in place partly as a reaction to the President’s extensive criticism of the US Postal Service as a money loser that does not charge enough for its services, combined with the coronavirus pandemic. Union officials have been warning that newly implemented measures would affect mail-in voting in November. ktvz.com/politics/2020/08/14/postal-service-warning-states-it-may-not-be-able-to-deliver-ballots-in-time-based-on-current-election-rules/Tell me, who was in charge of the U.S. postal service when the letters when out? Same guy that is in charge TODAY. Trump. Greg

The USPS is picking up the mailboxes and sorting machines. Trump cannot and did not change any rules regarding first class mail, standard mail, or the mailboxes. Focus. I know it is difficult for you.

How fucking ignorant do you have to be to not know that Trump put friend and financial supporter Louis DeJoy in charge of the USPS just for this purpose..

Blind partisan douchery seems to be a requirement for LNF cons.

I mean, besides voting Trump out in November.
The mail carrier on my block is a very nice Asian lady who used to own a house down the block, She had bought it and started fixing it up - the nicest driveway on the block. I guess she was trying to flip it. She wound up selling it after a few years; don't think she made much $$, because she's still carrying the mail.
I spoke with her the other day about the current turmoil, and her response was a bit stressed. I got the distinct impression that all is not well at the PO.
So now with Trump and his lackey actively making life more difficult than it needs to be for postal workers, I'm wonder what an average citizen can do to help them out.
Any suggestions?
Sure. Simple. Get your lazy ass to the voting area, bring your ID, and vote. No postage involved.
