My sister is a postal worker in Cleveland. She told me they were taking out the sorting machines. My brother was a postal worker in Cleveland until he retired in January. He's been told the same thing. Picking up mailboxes. This is NOT routine. This is an effort by Trump to take apart the U.S. postal service brick by brick. He's doing it to YOU. This has NOTHING to do with COVID-19. Greg Yes it is. No one uses mailboxes any more. Who even gets a single bill by mail these days? Everything is electronic. I'm sure some people still get paper bills, but the vast majority don't and that was the bulk of the postal services business. Without bills, what do they need sorters for? Junk mail? Pen pals? C'mon Greg. You know this is all normal. Stop being so daft. The future of post is boxes. End of story. Mail sorters will get in the way if they are sitting idle. That's why they started reducing the sort and the plan had already been developed and approved way way before it was implemented and before the current Post Master came into office. In fact, the current post master cut the number of machines being removed. So your whole conspiracy theory fantasy is nothing more than a sadistic wish. www.vice.com/en_us/article/pkyv4k/internal-usps-documents-outline-plans-to-hobble-mail-sortingWhat an utter load of horse shit. Yes, people do still use mailboxes. Next you'll tell me people don't buy stamps or envelopes anymore. What an absolute load of shit. I can't believe you buy into this bullshit. They pickup mailboxes and take sorting machines out at a time when they KNOW people are going to flood the system with mail and you actually believe it's NORMAL. Would a red flag be raised for you if they did it before Christmas? Greg

He hires a guy with zero experience, doesn't know what he's doing in the job and doesn't want to bother to find out. Hiring the best and managing them well.

Is NBC the bastion of biased reporting in favor of Democrats, lying? The USPS had also intended on removing a number of blue collection boxes around the country, but a spokesman said Friday that it would wait until after Election Day and reevaluate its needs. “We are not going to be removing any boxes," said USPS spokesman Rod Spurgeon. "After the election, we’re going to take a look at operations and see what we need and don’t need.” David Partenhemier, a USPS spokesman, in an email to NBC News characterized the removal of the hundreds of machines as: “Normal business adjustments!" He added that the agency often moves equipment to match fluctuating volume. "Package volume is up, but mail volume continues to decline," he wrote. "Adapting our processing infrastructure to the current volumes will ensure more efficient, cost effective operations and better service for our customers.” www.nbcnews.com/politics/2020-election/u-s-postal-service-warns-numerous-states-mail-ballots-may-n1236825Translation: "We got caught!" Look, if we SAW massive fraud already, then I would totally come to your side of the argument, but fraud is almost non-existent, so you freaking out about it must have some other cause.
I can think of only two other causes.
1) Trump said so 2) You realize that if more people vote, it will hurt republicans more than dems
I guess could be both, but fraud? That is not a real issue. Freon
Ok, so we shouldn't guard against fraud because it hasn't happened yet? The reality is that fraud will become easier if we eliminate safe guards and provide more opportunities. That's just common sense. Why not protect our rights and avoid voter dilution by having security procedures that make fraud incredibly difficult? What does picking up mailboxes and taking sorting machines offline have to do with protecting against FRAUD? I'll wait... Greg

The fantasy is K-StU's belief that voting by mail is subject to major fraud.
Sad.

And who get to decide who is 'dumb and ignorant'? You? Take it away, John.... No. Not me. Policies could be implemented that reduce the risk of people like yourself voting. Possible federal voting eligibility requirements: -Paying federal taxes -Passing a civics test -ID Just those reqs alone would prevent millions of you and your fellow dumbasses from being able to pollute the political system. "Paying federal taxes." Fail. Not Constitutionally required. You lose to me, yet again. "Passing a civics test." Ahhh, the wink to Jim Crow. Scratch a 'Libertarian' long enough, the racist appears. You have no more self-awareness than a dog that licks its ass in public. "ID". Especially if you make obtaining one difficult. Just those reqs alone would prevent millions of you and your fellow dumbasses from being able to pollute the political system blacks, browns and poors from voting, which is my entire point. Take it away, John:

The tragedy of Lomelissa is that she came about 150 years too late. Her prime time was when Jim Crow as the law of the land in the old South, where people of color were denied the vote with patently unconstitutional voting requirements like literacy tests.
Surprise, Lomelissa would be right at home in the old racist Jim Crow South, or the Third Reich.
Not here, not today, never again.

It is interesting that you believe only "blacks and browns" would fail a civics test or are incapable of getting ID. Talk about racist. 🤦♂️

And then Thors dumber brother chimes in with more racist suggestions that black people are uneducated and incapable of passing simple tests. Hint Uly and Thor, ya'll wouldn't make the cut.

No, Lomelissa, don't project your racist and fascist bias on me.
You're trying to restrict the vote in an unconstitutional manner.
Why don't you go jump back into your deplorable basket?

No. You clearly don't believe blacks are capable of passing a basic civics test. Your post is oozing with white racist superiority. I'm proposing changing the Constution you imbecile. If the Constitution were to be changed to implement such policies they would not be unconstitutional. Keep them coming. You continue to prove that you shouldn't be allowed to vote.

I would LOVE for this to be true. And you, especially, know why.

Yes. You've been told that it is your civic duty, that you must vote. So like a good little Igor that always obeys master you do as you're told without question even if you would rather not deal with the inconvenience. Fear not. Some of us do actually care. You would not be burdened with such a requirement in my system. I seem to remember that you were unable to even recall who you voted for in 2012. Didn't you say somethinglike, "Duh, I dun voted straight liberturian, didn't need to no what they stood up for"

Greg Because the post office is bleeding money and they are trying to reconfigure to stop that. The plans were made before COVID 19 was a thing and then finalized before talk of a mail in election.
