The state is catering to the people who are so risk averse they gladly stop living life indefinitely because of a virus that impacts a fairly well defined at-risk group. A society does not grow strong when those who are making decisions and embracing the decisions are the most risk averse. This is not a society with long term sustainable growth. This is indicative of a society that is rotting from complacency brought about by comfort and affluence. I completely agree. Some people do their very small part do help stop spread for the benefit of themselves and others. Other people are foolish and ignorant and care of nothing but their own self centered wants. |

No you aren't. You haven't felt it. You've been able to sit at home drink coffee and do yoga all day. So ya you get to sit on your ass and say you were lucky and say it sucks to be labeled as the disposable people of society while you were privileged and wealthy enough where it didn't effect you. It's typical leftist horseshit. Your mentality is a major part of the problem with society. Nobody gives a fuck about your empathy when what you support is actually throwing millions of people into poverty. Personally I will be traveling, vacationing, and actually doing things. I'm going to live life. If you want to cower under the bed that's on you but stop screwing with the rest of us. The solution is to get out of your basement and stop panicking. general welfare...yes, lets look at that... so a tiny fraction of the population is affected adversely...most show no symptoms at all...here in maine we've had almost as many traffic deaths...most all deaths, people in the 80'd in 5 nursing homes by the portland area... so the action is absolutely crush everyone - every working age person - financially... |
