Stating the obvious, but for some people it seems to be necessary.

You know how healthy individuals (particularly children) develop strong immune systems?
By dealing with viruses.
Why did disease wipe out ~90% of native Americans?
Because they had no historical exposure to the viruses of the old world.
The best solution to the novel coronavirus is yet to be determined, and certainly won’t be found in short term current data or “cases”.
lol

Sigh.
When it comes to a communicable respiratory disease, until a vaccine is developed and distributed, the most effective way to thwart its spread is a combination of social distancing, face masks, and lockdowns.
I don't know why this is so hard for some here to grasp. WTF?

People will choose working so they can feed and clothe themselves
Each person that chooses to drive to work each day assumes risk. Heck, in Maine our year to date date traffic fatalities equal covid deaths. And most every covid death is concentrated in 5 nursing homes, people over 80 with issues. Traffic deaths have affected all demographics.
Which is the higher risk.
But hey, the dems got that Kennedy center funded and the massive refugee resettlement program funded.

Says who? And keep in mind that whatever expert you pick will have very little to no training on the economic trade offs that a lockdown brings about. And will in early days have very little understanding of the virus itself. The US has NEVER LOCKED DOWN ITS ECONOMY IN HISTORY THE WAY IT HAS THIS YEAR. But you know that this is the best way to do it? Fuck the tens of millions, at least, who will suffer malnutrition, starvation, mental health issues, delayed cancer treatments, etc etc? This is the most anti-civilization shit I’ve ever heard.

I'm sure the nutjobs here can't see and won't admit the irony of the fact that if we had competent leadership that understood what was going on in the world around them and locked down nationally and properly this conversation wouldn't be necessary.
The worst of Covid would be in our rear view mirror and the loons could drink and go to the beach.

I like the way his presidential seal mask accentuates the huge bags under his eyes.
Has he been crying himself to sleep?

PS-when the stable genius is kicked out of office, he could find work as a model for Plexaderm.

Of course not, but the weak minded governors follow his lead.

If he doesn't have the authority to lock down the nation then how do they follow his lead with something he doesn't have the power to do? Are you saying that if he suggested that then they would have followed suit? Because I do remember when he initially proposed locking down all travel from China and he was called a racist and fascist. Left leaning politicians argued against those suggestions. It seems to me that your bias is blinding you and you have magic President syndrome.

( you really shouldn't ask nonsensical questions, it's embarrassing for you.) Stating the obvious, but for some people it seems to be necessary.

This dialog is what makes people question everything about covid, and label it political.
For christs sake, its a virus. Somehow, the dems have turned this into a political issue - though at the onset we said they would try to make this into a bush's katrina. Look at the posts here..and the MSM headlines...its 100% anti trump. when he uses exec authority, as he is to protect federal installations that are being attacked looted, burned etc which is akin to robbing the taxpayers...he is attacked as being authoritarian...and at the same time, they attack trump for not somehow pulling rank over every state, and dictating what all must do nationally, as if he has or should have the power of a dictator - if he ever tried that, supporters like me would go bat shit.
lets call it what it is...after every failed attempt to oust trump, this is their last ditch effort...

No, it's you cons/GOP that has turned it into a political issue, by equating mask, social distancing, and shelter in place mandates as some sort of totalitarian power grab. You've attempted to turn commonsense public health precautions into an ideological fight. Shame on YOU!
