Thanks to selfish jerks.
You know who you are.
Meanwhile selfish jerks are so smug, refusing to mask up, so pleased that other people are dying, but not them.
Yet.

Trump and Tropical Trump leading the charge and competing on who can be more blatantly incompetent on dealing with a pandemic. Fortunately for Trump but unfortunately for Tropical Trump, you know what can happen in Brazil to a leader that drops the ball.

Just to be clear, by "Tropical Trump", you must mean Bolsonaro.

The one and only! He should be fearing for his life right now. I heard his approval ratings are in the "George W. Bush 2008" category.

Hey, just giving you an opportunity to explain why you're fearmongering and spreading fake news. I'm sure you're taking into consideration that Fauci and the CDC only reversed their suggestions on mask usage on April 3rd. Less than 2 weeks before the article you keep sharing as if it's a meaningful data point. And more updated and timely articles ... well..and to be honest, more credible and less biased sources ... say things like.... Daily COVID-19 Deaths in the U.S. Have Fallen Dramatically Since AprilThe downward trend continued after states began lifting their lockdowns.
Amid concerns about post-lockdown increases in COVID-19 infections, there is one striking piece of good news: Daily deaths from the disease in the United States have fallen dramatically since April, and that downward trend has continued into June. Even taking into account the average lag between laboratory confirmation and death—about two weeks, according to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)—the loosening of restrictions on movement and economic activity that began at the end of April so far has not led to the surge in COVID-19 deaths that many lockdown supporters predicted. The seven-day rolling average of daily deaths, which peaked at 2,210 on April 18, had fallen to 605 as of yesterday—a 73 percent drop. The downward trend has continued for more than a month since mid-May, when the impact of post-lockdown infections should have started to show up in fatality figures. In Texas, for example, the seven-day average fell from 58 on April 30, when the statewide lockdown was lifted, to 20 on June 13 before climbing to 30 as of yesterday....all while "selfish jerks" are refusing to wear masks. Hey Odysseuse.
Why is it that CNN just rolled an article into their "update feed" (where it will be buried in a couple hours) stating a study that ... like *multiple* studies over the past few months ... establishes that 80% of all covid cases went unaccounted for in March? A study (science!!) that suggests 8.7 million new Sars infections appeared in the US during march ... at a time when they were saying there were only 100,000? What would that do with the fatality rate?
How are we all not dead yet? How is it even possible?
God works in mysterious ways. Praise Jesus!

So far, 17 people in Hawaii have died from the virus - out of 1.3 million people.
By my calculations, that means the virus has killed .001 percent of our population. That’s not much at all.

Looks like shutting down the islands was successful. Either that, or the virus isn’t the killer some people would like it to be. As of today, there have been 816 cases of the virus here. The vast majority have recovered. 17 have died. So 2.1 percent of all cases have resulted in death. Again, that’s a very nominal amount. The odds of catching it are slim. If you have it, the odds of dying from it are still slim.

Bring in all the tourists from New York, New Jersey, Japan and China with no quarantine?

Too bad they didn't shut down all the internet access there as well.

If this indeed is the poster popularly known as "Jasmean", she'd want to be stationed at the airport with a machine gun annihilating anyone who displeases her sense of superiority.

We still have a quarantine for tourists, but that will be relaxed soon. Stores, restaurants, bars, gyms are reopening. I went to a dim sum restaurant on Thursday and CPK on Friday.

So, what's the death rate from the common cold (another coronavirus)?
Would you say it's a nominal death rate if your parents or grandparents died from the coronavirus-19?
That's not what health experts are saying. They say it's highly contagious, as is the common cold. Perhaps Hawaii's contagion rate has been lessened by its geographic isolation as well as by the lock down. If your government is smart, it will institute temp scans for all visitors before they are allowed in.

This would be a perfect picture.... if 99.9999% of those positive results didn't result in developing fetuses but were instead just positive pregnancy tests that went nowhere and that nobody did anything about.
I don't think you're making the compelling argument you think you're making.
