You can't point a gun at people and then claim self-defense when they try to disarm you. That's nonsense.

Oh... Must be a process crime then... Greg Why hasn't the racist mom been arrested for illegally buying him the gun and transporting him across state lines with the illegal gun?
Because the Connecticut Mafia said it was OK.

I seem to recall that Kyle lives with his mom. No father in the house. So she would have had to purchase that semi auto rifle for him. She might be in some legal trouble for letting her pudgy pasty-face under-age brat get his hands on it. Obviously he'd had some time with it, because he was able to murder somebody 20 feet away. How long before Trump gives the murderer a blanket pardon? It's the lack of a father that's at the root of so many societal problems. He will find a few daddies in prison.

You can't point a gun at people and then claim self-defense when they try to disarm you. That's nonsense. What? That's not logical at all, nor well thought out. When did the protesters get the right to disarm someone if they don't like what he's doing? Two wrongs make a right?
Unless one is a moron, a good rule of thumb is to leave the guy alone if he has a gun.

He sure as hell isn't a murderer. It was neither smart nor legal for him to be where he was, but neither was the attempted murder of this young man by the animals that pursued and attacked him.
A lot of idiots in this story, and no heroes.
Oh... Must be a process crime then... Greg The kid was attacked and pursued. Struck with a skateboard and kicked. And he defended himself. Get him on the gun charges, but this wasn't murder.

No one has the right to point guns at people and we all have the right to disarm such a threat in the name of self defense. In case you didn't already know, it *is* a threat to point a loaded gun at someone.

Whether it is wise to run and hide or stay and fight is another discussion entirely. Regardless of which tactic one chooses, we all have the right to defend ourselves from a threat. And that kid was a threat.

Not to quibble, but it's assault to point an unloaded gun at somebody, because that somebody typically has no way of knowing if the gun was loaded or not.
Also, when I took my gun safety class, it was emphasized that regardless of circumstance, if I were to fire my weapon in public, outside of a firing range, then I would be going to jail. De rigueur.

Almost true, it is assault but it is also nets an invite to speak at the rnc

In case you didn't already know, it *is* a threat to point a loaded gun at someone. Do you actually ever read what you post? So, by your fallacious "logic", assaulting someone with a gun to take it away from them is a "right" while a person holding a gun has no right to even point it to address a perceived threat? You're rather famous here for your logical fallacies, but this one's in the running for the top five. Whether it is wise to run and hide or stay and fight is another discussion entirely. Regardless of which tactic one chooses, we all have the right to defend ourselves from a threat. And that kid was a threat. No, that kid was THREATENED and exercised HIS right to defend himself against a violent mob. He didn't assault anyone; pointing the weapon was a warning that he would defend himself. Another one of your fallacies is believing that the right of self defense was reserved only to the animals in the mob.

The kid was in in illegal possession of a long gun in the State of Wisconsin. 2. Pointing a weapon at someone, loaded or unloaded is called "brandishing". A law violation in the State of Wisconsin. docs.legis.wisconsin.gov/statutes/statutes/941/III/20Greg

He was attacked because he was shooting/pointing his gun at people. Duh. He's a murderer. He was pointing his gun because he was threatened by the mob, and had every right to address that perceived threat. He is not a murderer.
By the way, if we apply your "pointed gun=threat=assault" logic to history, that would mean that the Confederates were just firing on Fort Sumter to disarm the fort's inhabitants because the Yankees were pointing guns at them.
Thanks for confirming that the Yankees started the War Between the States.

The second person killed and the one wounded were kicking the sh*t out of Rittenhouse while he was on the ground and one of them was pummeling him with a skateboard. That's attempted murder.
Evidently, the rule is that one is not allowed to defend one's self from any BLM mob.

And the fact is this kid was being chased because he was pointing his weapon at people. Don't play dumb. You know full well that no one has the right to brandish a weapon.

Looked like an attempted citizens arrest to me. Greg
