I'm always amazed when people say things like this. Or share things like this (constantly) on facebook.
Do you think your opinion is so important to everyone that this means anything? "I was going to hold to my own views and opinions but then I realized .. Freon. The might Freon ... said I look like a fool in his eyes. Now I'm rethinking my whole worldview."
Or is it that you don't realize the people you're talking to have thought you were a fool for a very long time? Years. Decades even.

It's amazing how that works despite there being no new knowledge about the effectiveness of masks. It's almost like they freaked out so bad that they weren't really concerned with protecting the general population but in protecting their own asses. |

I never said I was tough. I have said over and over again that the infection mortality rate is slightly higher than the flu. I don't mask up for the flu so I won't panic and mask up for COVID19. Live life. Don't live scared. |

Which brings us back full circle. If neither can be afforded then how do you pay for it? Estimates for a medicare for all type system range between 20-35 trillion dollars. That means there would have to be a significant tax increase on everyone. Even if you offset those increased taxes by eliminating the costs of private insurance there is no way right now to cover all that. Remember millions of people are unemployed and not paying any taxes thanks to the government. Estimates for the current system range much, much higher. Who is going to pay for that?
Exactly.
Opponents of Medicare for All or other single payer solutions like to point out the cost, while ignoring the true costs of our current inefficient system of health care delivery.
Like Trump, they will say anything to avoid the facts.

I wear a mask when I go outside simply because it's the recommended thing to do, and it doesn't really inconvenience me at all. I actually have seven different rewearable masks, each with a cool floral design. It's a pretty good fashion item.
At the same time, I don't become an angry snowflake if I see someone not wearing a mask. To each their own. And I certainly don't think people should be *FORCED* to wear masks.
