Again, you are just pissing into the wind on this. These things are not so obviously illegal... or, it wouldn't continually be done by every administration. LOL. 'If they do it, it's not obviously illegal.' Because no administration would ignore the law or try to justify/rationalize their illegal actions (like say, torture) in some way, right? Clearly didn't understand the reference, which shows you don't read or follow the news that much.
You asked what was being advertised. What is being advertised is their success rate of over 90 percent. And there's a source, so there's back up.
Israel has also claimed that it intercepted 99 percent of Iran's missiles and drones out of that barrage of 300. ( Source) So why do they need THAAD? They claim they intercepted 99 percent of those missiles (including some shot down by our Navy). So, why do they need THAAD? Exactly, and they have talked up it's capacity for a long, long time. But now they're having to intercept on multiple fronts at this point. Not only that but Hezbollah - for example - is using its rockets as cover for drone attacks, so they're developing new tactics as well. Hence, probably not up to capacity any longer (or "have not held up as well as advertised").

Guess we'll see if this changes the equation any.
But more importantly, if Congress supports what is going on in Yemen, then they need to authorize it. Or if they don't, they need to put a stop to it.

We have 7 THAAD batteries. One is in South Korea, another in Guam, and now one (maybe 2) also in Israel. ( CRS)
"A closer look shows that China and Russia are gearing up to upgrade Iran's defensive and offensive capabilities. China recently transferred to it 'Silent Hunter' laser systems for protection against drones, UAVs and cruise missiles. Russia is expected to supply it with electronic warfare systems, advanced anti-aircraft batteries (S400) and fighter jets (Sukhoi 35-Su)."

The last report - from Mariv - was in Hebrew, so here's an English version:

Israel has hit some military targets tonight. It appears that no energy or nuclear sites have been hit.
Since its the former and the latter, it appears they were dissuaded from that and probably likely Iran lets this be the end of it with no response.

First, some information on the strikes:
So far, Iran seems to be downplaying the impact of these strikes; however, I think (and see this on social media especially from the FDD crowd) that we often mistake tactical wins for strategic ones (see Iraq).
And on that note:

The U.S. responding to an attack on Israel is not an act of self-defense.
The only way we would be acting in "self-defense" is if the THAAD battery gets hit, which would put a fine point on the President violating the War Powers Act by introducing troops "into situations where imminent involvement in hostilities is clearly indicated by the circumstances."

She should have limited it to us personnel.

Iraq 2.0, but this time with actual fissile material that we probably won't be able to secure.
Oh. Guess that makes Vance a coward.

I've mentioned this previously, but involving ourselves in the Yemeni civil war on behalf of the Saudis and UAE made the Houthi problem worse, because it led to deepening ties with Iran:
Here is a link to the UN report.
Starting with our invasion of Iraq, our policies in the ME have aided the expansion of Iranian influence.

This reminds me of my arguing in January of 2022 that the US blob was *trying* to start a war in Ukraine and doing a bangup job of it.
They almost seem to be trying to start a war in the ME too.

They've already got one; now it's just metastasizing and spreading across the region.

Good point.
I was just thinking we don't have enough involvement yet so they're doing what they can.
Cuz democracy or something. Queshank
