Ah classic Demos... still obfuscating. Lets review... You flippantly asserted here that if Israel launches a ground invasion, then screw them; they are on their own if other people go to war against them in the region. The issue at hand is not that we should just agree to whatever Israel wants to do. You are not prioritizing any interests, you just want to abandon our ally if other hostile thugs in the region decide to go after Israel. It is not in our interests to cowardly slink away from hostiles in the region because they think Israel defending themselves too much is enough for them to engage in hostilities. Your position is a chickenshit cowardly one wanting to abandon Israel. Took you ~28 hours to come with this response? And you couldn't do better than regurgitating that same bullshit?

Israel targeted the site of Nasrallah's bunker:
Seeing conflicting reports on whether or not he's dead or seriously injured, so no confirmation yet. That would be a big deal if he is, especially given how much of Hezbollah's leadership structure has been taken out thus far.
Israel is still reportedly prepping for a possible invasion of Lebanon ( WSJ Video).
Israel's defense minister reportedly called Netanyahu's "total victory" comments total nonsense and favors "a deal to return the hostages, a ceasefire in Gaza, and lowering the flames on the northern front." ( Source) |

Death now confirmed:
Lebanon’s Hezbollah group confirmed on Saturday that its leader and one of its founders, Hassan Nasrallah, was killed in an Israeli airstrike in Beirut the previous day. A statement said Nasrallah “has joined his fellow martyrs.” Hezbollah vowed to “continue the holy war against the enemy and in support of Palestine.” ( Source)
Senior IRGC commander also killed.

Israel reportedly targeted Nasrallah because he wouldn't de-link Gaza from negotiations with Hezbollah:
In that case, don't think his assassination is going to help their negotiating position. The next guy up seems to be more radical than Nasrallah was. However, Lebanon's prime minister says the country is ready to implement a 2006 UN resolution ( 1701) to end Hezbollah's operations south of the Litani River. ( Source) That resolution would have made the Lebanese Army and UN peacekeepers the only armed force in that area. (Probably a good time for everyone to brush up on the complexities of Lebanese government and Hezbollah's role in it).
In the meantime, Israel has been conducting some limited raids into Lebanon ( Source), and a larger invasion could happen within days or hours. Although, the U.S. doesn't think Israel will launch an invasion ( Source), while we look at options to send even more troops to the Middle East. ( Source)
Biden keeps calling for a ceasefire, which is probably going to go about how his calls for a Gaza ceasefire went, especially since he won't use any of the levers he has to impact such as decision.
Further south, Israel struck the Yemeni port of Hodeidah again. The Houthis have vowed to escalate in response to the recent attack ( Source), and even their opposition - the internationally recognized government of Yemen - has condemned the attack and also warned Iran not to make things worse. ( Source)
