So you have nothing? To put things in D&D (2E) terms, demos, you have the Intellect, but not the Wisdom. Oh, were trying to make an actual point? Please, thrill us with your wisdom.

If you are unable to look at a map of Northern and Eastern Europe, I'm not sure I can do anything for you, demos. This is as bad as the Grypen thingy.

Maybe this has less to do with the map and more to do with Macron trying to make up for his comments in 2022, for which he received a lot of rebuke and chastisement, by throwing this out there to look committed to the cause.

Who cares about Macron? I am getting at what is possible, practical, and prudent for the nations involved. Again, this is as bad as you thinking you 'discovered' something with the JAS 39s. When it comes to these subjects, you are intelligent, but not wise - a neophyte.

Damn that insidious Kremlin propaganda indeed. And shame on anyone caught peddling it. Another one that can't tell the difference between where the tracks are going, and where the conductor says the train is going. Queshank
Que, stop fvcking with autocracy. You used to flirt with it, or pretend to. Now you're siding with Putin, for crissake. Putin is a monster.

See this is exactly what led the left down the path to ruin. I'm not siding with Putin. I'm siding with reality.
Leftists have started calling reality a monster.
And trying to deny reality. And accuse those who live in reality of being monster enablers.

You weren't talking about what is possible. You were thinking you were making some point about the importance of geography (proximity to Russia) when it came to people saying no. That fell through, so now you're acting like it's about what's "possible."
Of course it's not possible for most NATO member states, because they're not spending on defense capability (even some of the ones spending 2% of GDP).
And it's not really prudent for any NATO state, because of the escalatory risk.
Has nothing to do with the map.
So, why is Macron throwing this out there? Probably trying to recover/burnish/improve his image.

LOL. Do you think that geography was the only consideration? Or money? Or anything else? Once again, you expose yourself as a neophyte. What do you think you discovered with Hungary's JAS 39s?

Dude, you're the one who acted like geography was an important factor. You're the one who brought up countries' location on a map. Not me. Never had anything to do with what I posted until you decided to jump in thinking you had some kind of gotcha. And the only person you got was yourself.
Maybe you should go back and address my response to you in that thread.

Someone with wisdom concerning military affairs would have figured it out. You don't have the background to analyze a great deal of the stuff you link to, because by and large, they are articles written by folks with the same problem you have. Intelligence, but not wisdom. It's like this: Knowledge is knowing a tomato is a fruit. Wisdom is not putting tomatoes in your fruit salad

You've had ample opportunity to explain. You never do.

I don't know about anybody else but when I read thor's posts, "wisdom" is definitely the quality that stands out. Queshank

Arguably should have started that a long time ago (like say, 2014 or 2008).
But hindsight's 20/20 and all that.

I fail to believe people didn't notice all of this 1 year ago, or even two years ago.
I think some people - particularly those in policy making positions - just willfully ignored it.

I get the partisan nature of the aid debate, but lost in the partisan political fight is a much more substantive issue: manpower.
With that in mind, probably shouldn't have sent troops to Sudan (see here, here, and here).
