I can't see democrats (leftists) wanting mass immigration simply for keeping the economy growing. I think the underlying methodology is the grow the central government with more dependent subjects.

I think it’s both. The government has trained the people to think GDP is the be-all and end-all of how the country is doing. GDP goes up! Things are great! Even as huge sections of the country are hollowed out. But yes. I think importing people who vote predominantly Democrat eventually is the other side of it. And there is the Republican side as well, who favor cheap labor for their corporate donors. Even as they pretend to be outraged by the immigration.

What a moron.
The root cause is not having children. It’s like filling a bucket with holes.
Address the root causes

I wish I were broke, uneducated and fleeing my dysfunctional homeland.
Then I'd have it made!!
According to US political propaganda I'll have a free, five star hotel room, spending money and all the pets I can eat!!!

What a moron. The root cause is not having children. It’s like filling a bucket with holes. Address the root causes Other than providing more aid to families, how exactly do you plan to do that? The main fix I see is immigration- something you're opposed to.

It is crazy when other areas of our country are hollowed out. Those areas being in red states. Hey, what ever happened to the monies stolen and given to Brett Farve Mississippi? apnews.com/article/brett-favre-mississippi-welfare-money-nfl-59d5047f9e8b1cd6055f13697eea7027

And if birth rates are crashing everywhere, and those countries aren’t seeing any of their own immigration growth, won’t that be a disaster for their economies?

I disagree on point one. Of course that's unsustainable in the long run. Eventually our population starts to shrink as well, and the dreaded reduction of GDP occurs anyway. Probably good to start investigating why birth rates are dropping so precipitously everywhere.
