Okay, now do the "light shining into the body" thing you've been avoiding. I already responded to that with two articles that slammed the door shut on the moron who claimed there is not such thing as “lights” being used in medical treatments. The first listed a host of skin conditions that light therapy is used to treat. Then the nitwit said sure, that’s just skin diseases. There is no internal uses. So I posted the research article from a top medical school speaking the practical applications for liver and kidney diseases among other things using infrared. Next. Yeah, maybe you're right. Btw - you see how that works, that whole admitting that you might not be right thing? Take notes. Link please? I'm actually interested.

I think their worst sin is in assuming that without training in research, that they magically have the ability to perform it at the same level as those who are trained to do it. They think their 'common sense' equips them to critically think. In my experience, common sense is near useless when it comes to understanding complex systems. Freon Your dismissal of common sense tells us it's something that you've never had. It is so vital to critical thinking that one can't be a critical thinker without it.
Once again, you arrogantly dismiss the posted information of someone else without offering any real evidence that it's not correct. Are you capable of anything on this forum beyond expressing disdain and running away?
I'm not dismissing common sense, I'm saying it is only good to a certain point, after which, it works against you. And you don't have the training to know when that happens. You ONLY have common sense. What's funny and frustrating to me about you far righties, especially, is that you think you're pretty skeptical people. Heck, I can even admire that about you. But from where I'm sitting, you don't even understand what actual skepticism is. And worse, you think people like me are not skeptics at all, lol. And you could not be more mistaken. Freon

I never pivoted. I just didn't care about your point. I DID care about how you reacted as a person. That tells me WAY more about you, then your web search. Freon He reacted as a critical thinker would. You wouldn't understand, Chicken Little.
Rather than dismiss the thread because someone like thor (not the brightest bulb) had posted it, pete took the time to find out more information about it.
Evidently, correcting a leftist is forbidden and we are subject to being told how little we know.
"The trouble with our Liberal friends is not that they're ignorant; it's just that they know so much that isn't so." - Ronald Reagan
Did he though? Search out one article, and that's enough to counter the original one? That's not research. That's WEB search. Freon

Yup. And now you see my problem. SEVEN YEARS is how long it took you to figure out something that was obvious from day one. I struggle to communicate with someone like that. Freon Your ego and self image is out of fucking control. You can ask anyone here, and they will absolutely support that I have NEVER disagreed with your statement. Quite the opposite, actually. Freon

Again, why did you bother to respond if you're not talking about the topic at hand? Seems petty. It’s not petty. I think he actually believes he is intelligent. And when it clear he is in so far over his head he builds strawmen and starts an argument against a position that was never taken. This thread is a classic example of Freon, Thor and useless all unwilling to simply state the obvious - they were unaware of a basic fact, and can’t simply say so. It’s gotta suck going thru life like that. How can one possibly in any long term relationships with that as a core part of one’s personality. lol, you see, Mercy for All, you are one of them. They totally side with you, because they see you as a peer. So why don't you see yourself that way? Freon

Your peers include multiple people who have obvious traumatic brain damage, mental illness, and signs of dementia an just plain stupidity. Neandertard has a gaping head wound. He is obviously mentally incapacitated. He got his ass kicked and brain matter pushed out of his skull. This is your peer. Useless got his ass kicked by his neighbor. Bamabois has completely lost his shit since he was told his senile messiah is senile. He is mentally devastated right now. This is your peer. Davepedo is French. He suffers from flea, bed bug, and other infestations. He also clearly has tourettes. This is your peer. Greganon, runswithoutbrains, autreyu are morons. They have a collective IQ of about 10. These are your peers. You have admitted to having mental illness. You desperately want to be American. You have grand delusions that are obviously false. Why is it that -you- don't see yourself this way, Igor?

You poor dumb moron. If you actually read the opinion you would notice it wasn't a critique of "da science". It was a critique of the legal rationale of holding some states to account while exempting others in a plan that was supposed to include all those involved in the issue.

He’s mocking someone who claims nitrous oxide is an air pollutant contributor to greenhouse effect. That’s a tangential topic to the article. But worth pointing out to the fool who always claims to be a climate change guru that nitrous oxide is in fact a potent contributor.

I suspect that’s why we are a republic. The masses, or rather the majority, don’t necessarily get to decide what is right (legally speaking) It’s a pretty good system we have. The majority may vote for the guy that promises to instill a disinformation czar so don’t can decide what is fit for consumption by the public. But then the courts step in and say no, you can’t do that. As much as your supporters want to crush the oppositions free speech rights. Though it is troubling how many Supreme Court decisions are along ideological lines. It lessens the credibility of the court as a “science” based agnostic arbiter.

There's never been a time for the court to be a "science" based arbiter. Courts have always been about persuasion. And if the "science" argument isn't as persuasive ... it's not gonna win. But here's the thing. If its actually provable science it's persuasive power is incontrovertible. The "actually provable" is where things fall down.
But really I responded to point out ... not that many Supreme Court decisions are along ideological lines. An astonishing amount of them are unanimous. News outlets just make the most money off the ones decided along ideological lines.
Even this "biased" Court has mainly released unanimous decisions.
Justices unanimous in 15 of 18 opinions released so far
The more than 80% figure represents the most harmony at the beginning of a term in the court’s modern era, according to Adam Feldman, the creator of the blog Empirical SCOTUS.

Yes. Those are good points you make. There have been some unanimous decisions lately. I did see a video here of a past sc justice speaking on the second amendment. Making the argument that they wrote well regulated to make sure laws were written to govern the right And I thought certainly a trained justice knows that’s not at all what the authors meant. Authors like George mason and others stated explicitly what was meant by well regulated (trained and ready to go). And not having anything to do with legislation. And I thought is this justice that ignorant or is he simply using his position to push an ideological bent against guns. But you are right that it’s always about swaying peoples thoughts and opinions. Which often has little to do with facts and truth.

From a political perspective as well as how they structure and convey arguments. My guess is like fids, they are probably good singers, dancers, artists, musicians, writers. Great right brained skills. All Things I suck at being left brained. But I don’t pretend to be a broadway singer and dancer.

So if they are peers, it is only in the sense that they are logical, rational, reasonable, and civil, just like I am. In which case, I appreciate the compliment. Freon
