When I fly I'm putting my life in the pilot and co pilots hands I want the most qualified ones no matter what color they are not some token black or female who only got the job to fill a quota requirement Why won’t you answer my question. What would make them less qualified. They take the same test to be licensed as white men, don’t they? Do you think there is a separate test for DEI applicants? Are you really this stupid or is it a game you like to play? They have all kinds of tests they have to pass before being Certified and hired lets say a white person gets a 91 overall score and the minority person gets a 81 with 80 being the passing cutoff. Should they hire the lower score 🤔 just because they're a minority to fill a so called quota?

There are two issues that cause a lot of white men to be hired: 1. Women want families. Some don't, but most women do and most can see that being gone half the month isn't conducive to that. Do some women have families and fly? Sure. But it is a huge factor. 2. Becoming a pilot has two paths, military or civilian. The civilian path can be extremely expensive. Because there is a financial disparity, many minorities can't qualify for loans or assume they just can't do it. 2 is changing. AA and UA have sponsored courses for employees that aren't pilots. They are doing that because the pilot is an increasingly rare commodity. Pilots are the key to growth. The airline that can get the most pilots, airplanes and gates is going to have a huge advantage. They are pushing minority candidates to become candidates, but they all have to meet the same criteria to become qualified.

That’s not how getting a pilots license works, dumbass Actually, the written test requires an 80% to pass and the DEs are told to approve the oral exam if the candidate demonstrates knowledge that meets or exceeds 80% of the DE's knowledge. So, yeah, he's not wrong.
