The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) website disclosed the shockingly small number of people who died from only the Wuhan coronavirus, with no other cause of death mentioned. Hold on to your hat because here it is: out of the 161,392 deaths in the CDC data, just six percent, about 9,700 deaths, were attributed to the coronavirus alone. According to the CDC, the other 94 percent had an average of 2.6 additional conditions or causes of deaths, such as heart disease, diabetes, and sepsis.
Instead of protecting the vulnerable – the elderly in nursing homes and those with comorbidities – health "experts" recommended locking everyone up and prescribing for Americans a wide range of ailments such as depression, suicide, missed early cancer screenings, unemployment, substance abuse, and poverty. Something is driving the liberal media's morbid obsession with the U.S. death toll. The media is doing everything it can to blame the virus on President Trump, a virus that originated in China and is killing people all over the world. It's been widely known for months that people with comorbidities and the elderly are at higher risk for severe illness due to COVID-19, so why is the media clamoring for prolonged shutdowns and keeping schools closed? Is it because they see a connection between prolonged shutdowns, a weakened economy and the Democrats' electoral chances in November?

Stu's article isn't wrong per se, but it is. It isn't wrong in that there are only about 9700 that died with only the coding for COVID-19. HOWEVER!!!, there are a slew of people that developed pneumonia or other respiratory issues as a side effect of COVID-19. That number I can't pin down because in each subcategory are people that registered multiple symptoms and if you add up all the sub categories you get a number that is much bigger than the total. The only thing we can say for certain is that COVID-19, by itself, is not as deadly as they said when it first came out. Let's not forget the first predictions were for 2 million people to die. Oh, and we can say with absolute certainty that red states fared a whole hell of a lot better than blue states. Better health care down here y'all  |

What this says is what many of us have said all along.. For the 99% of us this virus is not dangerous, for those with underlying conditions, take care of yourself, stay home if you can. As with any flu bug going around. Wash your hands often, stay home if you experience symptoms of fever/cough and protect the folks with compromised immune systems.

Stage 4 cancer Edited to add... He had stage 4 cancer, his immune system was compromised and sadly he should have been one that protected himself better.. BUT he took his life into his own hands and made those decisions. |
