We have to do something.
Something has to be done.
I support Something for all problems.

And even that is more effective than the "Do Nothing" plan you currently endorse ..

Yeah, in America, we just can't control gun crimes like other countries. I guess we are not so great after all.

That’s not my plan. It’s the Democrats talking point. That if we don’t support whatever gun control law you are pushing them the ONLY possible alternative must be nothing *eye roll*

And I support politicians doing Something to address or not really address every problem that exists. So long as Something is done. Makes me feel good.

I want the government to do a war on drugs, poverty, and terrorism so that we don’t have to deal with those problems anymore.
Do Something.
Don’t think about it too much.

Yeah, because it's either one or the other. It's against the physical laws that both the government and us did something about these problems. Like when your left hand does something it allows the right hand to rest...

Make all crimes committed with a gun a capital offense. It's that simple.
This shooter shouldn't be using up our oxygen. He should have been shot dead on the spot.

Why can't both the government and people privately do something about it? About misinformation, there is a class of people that really like it, otherwise they wouldn't spend their hard earned money on tabloids.

I don’t understand the question. Whether one thinks the government can solve a problem or not, best that we demand they Do Something, even at the risk of making things worse, or causing secondary or tertiary problems that are worse, or simply wasting resources fighting a problem they can’t solve while setting up yet another bureaucracy that only punishes law abiding citizens. We can parade around our virtue by saying we support the state Doing Something. That’s it. We’re virtuous because we want the State to Do Something.

Nobody , except maybe people with mental problems, has that simplistic a view of the situation. So all you've done is you made a straw man and then ridiculed the straw man you've just made.

Did Fiddler do the same with the “Do Nothing” OP? Or was his post thought provoking? Surely you can see the mirror now, right?
