On the home front, the SF Giants look about to break through the 500 barrier. They are currently at .494. The Giants beat the Rockies yesterday, and tonight they are again ahead of them. A 3rd win tomorrow may clinch the deal.
After the Giants' victory Wednesday, their rating advanced to .497. Next stop: .500 if not .501.

The Oakland Athletics fans, after a very long season with 102 losses and finishing a whopping 46 games out of first place in their division to end in the predicted cellar as well as with the worst record in the American League cementing their sewer status. The fans are also facing the definite possibility of the team moving to Las Vegas, leaving the city with three professional teams that will have fled their area.
They finally have something to cheer for.

The fans are also facing the definite possibility of the team moving to Las Vegas, leaving the city with three professional teams that will have fled their area. They finally have something to cheer for. Nice parting gift. It's a shame, because Oakland has fielded some decent teams over the years almost accidentally—not a lot of support from fans or ownership. And quite the history, too. But it's rare to see success without that support (something that Tampa Bay has been able to do fairly consistently...not sure how). |

And it looks like this is the end of the 2022 season for the Chubs. I don't see them listed in any playoff games.
