Only the fools who already hated trump will blame him for the unemployment. Normal people know that the pandemic precautions that everybody screamed for are the cause of the high unemployment rate. Normal people remember Trump's success prior to the pandemic as well.
And, no, it doesn't help Trump in any way.
So, no.
But it is a poorly worded question.
Normal people also remember how nice it was to freely travel around the world to places like Europe, Canada and the Bahamas. Normal people get how piss poor the Trump response to the the virus has been and the LIES he's told. Greg |

Trump said China could have easily stopped it. Trump didn't do the easy thing and stop it here. Trump himself should blame himself for the unemployment.
Trump rode the coat tails of Obama's economy, he didn't make the line graph go up any steeper than Obama had already setup. His policies are now catching up with him.
Trump never implemented any pandemic precautions, so that's a vapid argument.

Obviously a poor economy is going to hurt the current President. Not sure how much though. I don't think small business owners that are getting crushed by this are blaming Trump when it's their local and state governments stomping on them

Unless you are a farmer and just living on the government gravy train the past few years. Tariffs, trade wars, definitely hurt but not as bad as being forced to shutdown your business. Farmers always have the gravy train regardless of the party in charge. |
