I wonder if we looked at demographics of those Deep South states if we’d find anything to contradict your conclusion? Thoughts?
I merely noted the correlation.. Causation? .. Give it a shot, Big Time ..
The following post from me should make that clear. Black Americans, on average, are poorer, less educated, have higher rates of obesity, and are the most religious ethnic group, when compared to other groups in America. The states of the Deep South have the highest proportion of black citizens when compared to total population. |

Book smart, common sense stupid. Quite an accomplishment. That's what the people who are proud of being stupid say. My son is 14. Exceptionally talented as a climber, with a significantly impressive physique already. He is in the top 3% educationally. He despises football (that's actual football, not your bodypadded softy version of Rugby). The thick football fan kids taunt him for (a) not diggin' football and (b) reading books, doing well in maths and (c) enjoying his lessons generally. He came up with this: "You don't like people with brains, who read books? Well, that's like sneering at people with big muscles who lift weights. My brain is stronger than yours" He then taunts them about their stupid football teams, but never gets attacked because he's got arms like Garth. People who despise book learning have kids who serve table for my kids, ten years from now. |

What? Let’s say the average white person in the US makes $100,000 per year and has 15 years of formal schooling on average. And the average black person in the US, for whatever reason you want, makes $50,000 per year and has 13 years of formal schooling on average. Then we look at the demographics of State A and State B. And it shows that state A has 3% black and 97% white. While state B has 36% black and 64% white. Which state would you guess had a higher income, on average? And which state do you think would have a more educated population? Take politics out of the hypothetical, and then maybe you’ll see how absurd your argument is. |
