Way I see it, she died because she believed Trump's LIES. Easy. Greg They way I see it is that the officer saw her as a treat being that his fellow officers were getting the shit beat out of them and the mob was coming for him through a window they broke and was climbing through And yet she wasn't a threat. She hadn't even entered the area that he was warning her not to enter. She was not armed at all not was she moving in any threatening manner toward the officer. If the perception of a threat is all that's required, Derek Chauvin should be released today. |

He did turn on the country for his state that supported slavery and would join a new country that wanted to expand slavery. I would call that a trader. It would be interesting to know how long it would have lasted after. Couldn't have gone past 19th century anyway. assumption Life in the south could have had time to adjusting to the end of slavery. Many slaves would have stayed after being "claimed" to be free. They could have worked for roof and food. Hours would have had to be better and bosses would have had to carry evection notices instead of whips. The south is still paying for that bad move today. If we want people to get over slavery and legal racism in the south, then they need to get over those dumb statues and ugly flag. |

A statue is not history. We know about Hitler. Where is his statue. The purpose of a statue is to honor a historical figure. Robert E. Lee does not deserve to be honored I agree with you (rare). But I don't think Lee would want that statue up anyway. |

Lee should be revered as a hero by all intelligent, decent people of integrity who value the truth ("normals"). Explains why progressives hate Lee; they possess none of those qualities.
Its not just progressives. I guess I don't hate him, but there's no real reason to honor him. He made a bad move. Kind of like George Floyd. He made a bad move in front of a ignorant police officer. Shouldn't be honored for the cops poor decision. Lee shouldn't be honed for the southern states poor decisions. Its all the south really has to separate themselves from the other 40 states. |
