Robert E. Lee was a traitor. He was lucky not to get hanged. And that's still a lie, Useless. We don't tolerate that kind of leftist lie here.
Lee should be revered as a hero by all intelligent, decent people of integrity who value the truth ("normals"). Explains why progressives hate Lee; they possess none of those qualities.

This may stir up the hornets' nest even more, but I just gotta post it. This melting of statues PROVES that old saw about "keep the camel's nose out of the tent." How, you ask? Glad you asked.
December 1, 1955. Rosa Parks was asked to give up her seat on the bus so a white person could sit down. The seat was one of four, two on each side of the aisle, immediately behind the white only section. But the white only section was full, and here this poor white lady had nowhere to sit except on one of the three vacant seats in that row or, God forbid, further back where the neighborhood was even darker. Alabama law provided that when that happened, the colored folks had to cede territory to the whites.
Rosa refused. To make a long story short, the whites finally caved because the colored folks made the issue more about money than principle, and money always trumps principle. Thus, the camel got his nose under the tent.
Pretty soon, the colored folks were allowed to try on clothes before purchase, just like white folks. They were allowed to work in non-menial jobs, just like white folks. They were allowed to eat at the same restaurants and cafes white folks patronized, right alongside white folks. They were allowed to attend quality schools, not only just like white folks but WITH white folks. And on and on.
Now it's come to this. Melting statues. Beware the camel nose under the tent!

Yeah, Salmon P. Chase, a high ranking Lincoln minion who made war on the South, couldn't even base this shitpile decision on the text of the Constitution; he turned selectively to the defunct Articles of Confederation! And he seems to have had a slightly different opinion in private:
Chief Justice Chase had told the cabinet of the United States in July of 1865 (and remember he would be the person who would rule on appeal in the event one was needed) "If you bring these people to trial, it will condemn the North, for by the Constitution, secession is not rebellion"
Like I said before, this is not my first discussion of this matter. You seem to be the novice here, floundering around in your historical ignorance.
