Well, I recognize the comic book Archie, which I always thought was rather boring, but never heard of Archie Goodwin nor of Nero Wolfe. Not sure i want to know.

You and other ass holes. It is part of the history of this country. Let’s forget that the south was Americans more than some that post here, and they made a mistake allowing slavery. But if you are taught the truth about that civil war, no it was not all about slavery. What are we going to do when California wants to become their own country? If you erase history, it might repeat itself. Right now the whole country is being treated by a political party the same way the south was being treated before the civil war. I'm ready and wiling to forget all about slavery, the Civil War, Jim Crow laws, racism, and the whole thing. I just wish everyone was like me and was living for the future instead of being stuck in the past. I'm happy to see this African American museum is ready to forget the past and let bygones be bygones. How many people are alive today that owned slaves in the South, or North too? I did not have any relatives here in this country at that time. Not many alive had family that owned slaves at that time. The war is over, slavery now is illegal. Obey the law, but do not forget the history. And those statues, both sides were Americans. Let’s not forget it, and not let anything like that happen again. The way things are going, maybe someday there will be statues of republicans and democrats. And maybe we will be tearing down the democrat communist statues. |

A statue is not history. We know about Hitler. Where is his statue. The purpose of a statue is to honor a historical figure. Robert E. Lee does not deserve to be honored |

I couldn't agree more. From all accounts Lee was a competent general but chose the wrong side. That error should cost him any post-war acclaim or honor.

I couldn't agree more. From all accounts Lee was a competent general but chose the wrong side. That error should cost him any post-war acclaim or honor.

Neither did most Southerners of that time, despite the lies of today's liberals and hate filled Yankee idiots. Lee fought against the increasing tyranny of an bloated and corrupt federal government. He fought for his home and for the same rights that the Patriots of the American Revolution fought and died for.
Lee stands for the spirit of the decentralized Jeffersonian vision that came to be in the "Revolution of 1800".
And the liberals will use every measure to crush any sign of that vision and that ideology. These statues are not really about race or slavery; that's just the lie that the left uses as an excuse to purge the idea of an honorable and courageous resistance to the federal behemoth.
And lemmings like Wads swallow the liberal lies because he just doesn't know any better. |
