Nothing I've read NAILS Trump supporters better than this anonymous piece.. . ..
"You all don't get it. I live in Trump country, in the Ozarks in southern Missouri, one of the last places where the KKK still has a relatively strong established presence. They don't give a shit what he does. He's just something to rally around and hate liberals, that's it, period. He absolutely realizes that and plays it up, they love it, he knows they love it, and the fact that people act like it's anything other than that just proves that liberals are idiots, all the more reason for high fives all around. If you keep getting caught up in why do they not realize blah blah blah and how can they still back him after blah blah blah, you are not understanding what is the underlying motivating factor of his support. It's FUCK LIBERALS, that's pretty much it.
Have you noticed he can do pretty much anything imaginable and they'll explain some way that rationalizes it that makes zero logical sense? Because they're not even keeping track of any logical narrative, it's irrelevant, fuck liberals is the only relevant thing, trust me, I know first hand what I'm talking about. That's why they just laugh at it all, because you all don't even realize they really truly don't give a fuck about whatever the conversation is about, it's just a side mission story that doesn't really matter anyway. That's all just trivial details - the economy, health care, whatever. FUCK LIBERALS.
Look at the thing with not wearing the masks. I can tell you what that's about. It's about exposing fear. They're playing chicken with nature and whoever flinches just moved down their internal pecking order, one step closer to being a liberal.
You gotta understand the one core value that they hold above all others is hatred for what they consider weakness, because that's what they believe strength is, hatred for weakness. And I mean passionate, sadistic hatred. And I'm not exaggerating. Sadistic, passionate hatred, and that's what proves they're strong, their passionate hatred for weakness. Sometimes they lump in vulnerability, a compromised circumstance, or an overwhelming circumstance in there with weakness, too, because people tend to start humbling themselves when they're in those circumstances and that's an obvious sign of weakness.
Kindness=weakness. Honesty=weakness. Compromise=weakness. They consider their very existence to be superior in every way to anyone who doesn't hate weakness as much as they do. They consider liberals to be weak people that are inferior, almost a different species, and the fact that liberals are so weak is why they have to unite in large numbers, which they find disgusting, but it's that disgust that is a true expression of their natural superiority.
Go ahead and try to have a logical, rational conversation with them though. Just keep in mind what I said here and think about it.

It's near perfect PROJECTION, especially the line "sadistic, passionate hatred" that is such an accurate description of liberals. Watch the news and see who the hateful, sadistic folks actually are.

"They" ... "they" ... "they" ... "them" ...
This author sure does talk a lot about those scary "others" doesn't he? Like he's pretending he's some kind of credentialed scientist studying some otherworldy life form. Did freonbale write this?
I'm always fascinated by people turning to people who agree with them for an analysis about "others."
Is that a scientific approach, do you think?
The only question I really have tho is why you think you needed to quote somebody to say something you could have spit out with the same 30 seconds of thought this guy put into it?
Not that this guy is entirely wrong. That's the material he had for his 30 seconds of reflection before he started typing. There is a strong (and legitimate) desire to punch BACK ... among Trump supporters. That punching BACK ... quality is popular for Trump.
But it's like 1/10th of any calculus on support for Trump in my experience actually talking to Trump supporters and not trying to virtue signal and earn a bunch of likes and high fives from people who think like me.

Trump has supporters for much the same reason as carnies and con men have marks.

A sentient being would probably think "Why do they hate us so much?" and put some time into that, if they truly believed this was the all encompassing basis for Trump's support. But then, said sentient being would probably have to put some thought into "Why do I hate *them* so much?" and that's not something I've seen too many leftists do. And the ones I have seen put some thought into it, are now voting for Trump.

Queshank Wait, you are saying that YOU, and not one of us who lean left, are the intelligent one here. You believe we are all idiots? Because I've been listening to you for years, and I'm not really impressed.
Not saying you are Stu or Abe or anything, but on the intellectual ladder, you're also not the highest rung by any measure.
So if you are arguing that only those with your gifted intellect are capable of understanding the situation, then you automatically are discrediting your entire argument.

There is always a spectrum of intelligence in a group, and well, you are on the low side of it. That alone is not a cause to disrespect you, however. It is your lack of awareness that you ARE on the low side which is. You think you're a pretty smart person, which is why we rarely disagree with you, because we are too busy nodding our heads or outright laughing at what you say.
I'm just being honest. I would want to know.

We don't have to think about it.. They've been told to.. programmed if you will .. to hate Liberals. I watched it happen.
Reagan inspired them.. gave them permission to hate Liberals in 1975.. (yea.. I've been watching this shit unfold for a long fucking time) saying .. "If fascism ever comes to America, it will come in the name of liberalism." So yea.. we can start with Reagan, pause at Fox/Limbaugh/Coulter/Beck and come forward to Breitbart and the Daily Caller.. stumbling over the likes of the Washington Examiner and Infowars along the way. ..
You have to be dumb as shit to not see the steady drip of bile from those that have shaped the thinking ..such that it is.. of the modern Right ..

And the beautiful tie in between Reagan's quote and what I said that freon is struggling to understand ... you haven't been watching near long enough. And you're conveniently only watching one side, and pretending your side hasn't been engaged in the same rhetorical war. In 1975, Reagan was the first to "fight back." As you referenced. What was he fighting back against? Things like in 1936: James Waterman Wise, Jr., in a recent address here before the liberal John Reed club said that Hearst and Coughlin are the two chief exponents of fascism in America. If fascism comes, he added, it will not be identified with any “shirt” movement, nor with an “insignia,” but it will probably be “wrapped up in the American flag and heralded as a plea for liberty and preservation of the constitution.”
You have to be dumb as shit to think Reagan started this "steady drip of bile." You also have to be much dumber than shit to ignore the stench of your own "steady drip of bile" you've been sucking down with glee for decades. Reagan seems to have been predicting the rise of today's lunatic and rabidly illiberal left. So at least his prediction was accurate and topical. Even if he was simply using the erroneous binary "liberal/conservative" template. Queshank

BTW Fiddler, I haven't gotten a chance to fully get into dismantling the erroneous argument by that loopy professor you linked in another thread earlier trying to pin Fox News etc on the repeal of the Fairness Doctrine as opposed to where the blame really belongs ... with the abandonment of fair coverage by left leaning outlets especially in new cable channel creations creating a demand for alternative news sources. The Fairness doctrine repeal freed left leaning outlets from covering the news honestly and objectively. And Reagan was warned by his advisors that this is what would happen but insisted on the repeal as it was a government imposed limitation on "freedom of speech." Since you brought up Reagan and the "struggle." But to start unwinding your brainwashing you can use snopes. James Waterman Wise would be right and Ray-Gun would be wrong. Fascism, at its core, is an ultra-nationalist movement. It was largely based on symbols [Even archaic ones] and "preservation" which is another way of saying maintaining traditions.
Ronnie, on the other hand, makes no sense since Fascism was created as a way to combat the rise of early 20th Communism and was a reactionary movement [Which are typically always right-wing].

I must have missed the nationwide protest movement that sprung up right after Trump entered office. The Tea Party operation was up and running by February 2009 on the flip side.

Why would anybody want to stick it to the leftists? I mean it couldn't be that they are overwhelmingly authoritarian shitheads that support involuntary quarantines, curfews, martial law, forced business closures, throwing millions into poverty, and separating people into groups considered valuable or unvalued.
Who would ever have problems with any of that?
