To be clear: I am not anti-stop sign. I am, however, against mandated stop sign usage. The media narrative that people like me are silly or irresponsible is both offensive and further shows the constant attack against my feelings and desire to avoid inconvenience. I stand against big government, and I will never apologize for being a freedom fighter as I blast through any intersection necessary.
While data show that stop signs may be useful for limiting traffic accidents, injuries, and death, that data is easily proven to be a media conspiracy to thwart our collective freedoms. Despite having stop signs for decades now, people still die frequently in automobile accidents. If stop signs were effective, there would be no more accidents. Instead, big government and mainstream media push this narrative of “safety” as a manner of restricting freedom of movement.
If I am in a rush to get to work, I may not have time to consider stop signs. The government cannot tell me that I need to stop, that I cannot be on time to earn my money. If a legitimate need for stop signs existed, our Founding Fathers would have placed them in the Constitution. Overarching mandates are a slap in the face to figures like George Washington, who wrote that no government ought to interfere with the movement and safety of citizens: on foot, horse, or vehicle.
Anyone who wants to use stop signs can go ahead and use their brakes. I, however, do not believe everyone should be beholden to this tyranny. Let the people choose!
In summary: Wear your masks — a symbol of freedom for others to live. In a world where uncertainty reigns, this basic act of humanity cannot be plagued with childish defiance.

Stop sign messaging over the last seven months:
No you shouldn't stop at stop signs. You peasants stay home, only valuable people shall travel. Ok, well we suggest that you do stop at signs but it isn't mandatory. You must stop at all stop signs or you will be responsible for the deaths of thousands!
This is of course all ordered through emergency decree. There have been no laws passed by our democratic system.

Cayden Stice, Longmont Should have titled this 'Another Modest Proposal'.
But I doubt the target of that humor would have any idea what it was referring to.
Well done. Keep them coming.

Welcome to the Freedom Cafe!
We trust you to make your own choices if you want to wear a face mask. And, in the same spirit of individual liberty, we allow our staff to make their own choices about the safety procedures they prefer to follow as they prepare and serve your food.
We encourage employees to wash their hands after using the bathroom, but understand that some people may be allergic to certain soaps or may simply prefer not to wash their hands. It is not our place to tell them what to do. We understand that you may be used to chicken that has been cooked to 165 degrees. We do have to respect that some of our cooks may have seen a meme or a YouTube video saying that 100 degrees is sufficient, and we do not want to encroach on their beliefs. Some of our cooks may prefer to use the same utensils for multiple ingredients, including ingredients some customers are allergic to. That is a cook’s right to do so.
Some servers may wish to touch your food as they serve it. There is no reason that a healthy person with clean hands can’t touch your food. We will take their word for it that they are healthy and clean. Water temperature and detergent are highly personal choices, and we allow our dishwashing team to decide how they’d prefer to wash the silverware you will put in your mouth.
Some of you may get sick, but almost everyone survives food poisoning. We think you’ll agree that it’s a small price to pay for the sweet freedom of no one ever being told what to do - and especially not for the silly reason of keeping strangers healthy. @libbyjones

Who actually believes that stop signs are analogous to face masks? By this trash logic, anything that the author deems a safety hazard can be banned, regulated or otherwise controlled. If that's the case, bring back prohibition. Ban all fatty foods. Eliminate Salt! Pools are a drowning hazard. Boats are death traps. Cars are the evil scourge of society. Stop me if I've gone too far. Water parks are the devil's playground. Caffeine should be banned and eliminated from the Earth! Cows are killing the atmosphere! Seriously, should I stop yet? Deodorant might cause cancer! Pillows might suffocate you! You might lose your head to a ceiling fan! B.B. guns will shoot your eye out! You might choke on a peanut!
What are we going to be left with? Jello, water and a padded cell? Just how far do we take this?

I don't know about you but I would never eat in such a filthy place. Do you believe such a place would get a lot of customers?
