If I remember correctly, he has said multiple times going wayyy back to 2016 that his health care plan will be coming out in 2 weeks and it will be a “ big beautiful and powerful plan”. How many times and how often are the Trumpaloons willing to be duped? Fool me once, fool me twice, fool me forty times....only in trump's America. |

They aren't sitting around waiting for his plan to be unveiled today. They aren't playing Charlie Brown to Trump's Lucy, running up to a football that's about to get yanked away because they know he's lying. They just don't care. Read what they say on LNF. They acknowledge that he's a liar, (although they won't use that word, they'll say he's a "bulls***ter," but it's all the same thing). They see him as a salesman, an exaggerator, a PT Barnum. To them, it's charming. It's part of his style, his shtick, his (ironically) down-to-earth-realness. And since they don't expect him to tell the truth, they don't think of it as lying to them. They're "in the know." They're part of the inner circle. They "get it." If they see Trump as PT Barnum, they see themselves as John Greenwood, Jr, Barnum's right hand man who understood exactly who and what Barnum was all about. They see you liberals and we former Republicans (the same group of people from their point of view) as the rubes stupid enough to believe what Trump says should be taken seriously. To them, it's the anti-Trump crowd being fooled over and over again because we keep expressing frustration with his lies. Their problem isn't stupidity. Their problem is that they don't care that he lies because they don't see it as lying to them, just to his (and their) enemies. And they will view every lie he tells in that light. |

Let's see. Any POTUS can only sign any legislation that has been Passed by both the House and the Senate? Bills usually begin in the House, although occasionally they do begin in the Senate. Presidents can also issue "edicts" for lack of a better word, and those are law, until a President comes along who doesn't like the "edict" and he gets rid of it. President Trump did that in the beginning of his administration with the "edicts" that President Obama had written and signed, and they were no longer law.
I'll wait and see what is happening.

But if you consider the questions "So the Democrats want a plain old folksy guy as president? Is it that simple?" you'll probably start to see the error in your thinking. Part of the problem in our country is our insistence that our POV is nuanced and thoughtful while the "other" POV is simple and thoughtless. It rarely works out that way. |
