The right seems to be using these shootings to make political points against democrat leaders who control these cities.
The left seems to simply ignore the shootings.
Honest question: Does anyone here actually *CARE* about these shootings?
I’m going to guess the answer is no. To all of us here, these are just stats to be used in one way or another. No one actually cares about the killings because all that is to be expected in lawless inner city jungles.

No one actually cares about the killings because all that is to be expected in lawless inner city jungles. I care. Not about the violent criminals but the effect it has on communities. The general lack of respect, violence, and filth spreads. It's more than just shootings. It's the general culture of not caring and fear of doing the right thing in those communities. This sort of attitude is prevalent in poorer areas where decent employment and educational opportunities are lacking. Unfortunately it's a cycle that just gets worse and worse over time. Businesses don't want to take the risk to move in, while other businesses move out, and the parents are incapable and unsupportive of providing disciplined education to their children. Where I live the inner city is too expensive. It's full of rich yuppies. The violent crime is in the suburban outskirts of the city with a few dissappearing ghettos in the middle. The suburban ghetto is a mile away from me. As poverty increases so do these areas and it spills over.

The cost of crime is staggering...according to the fbi assessment on gangs, gangs account for up to 90% of violent crime in some cities...and 40% nationally...
that is our epidemic...
it should be treated as the mafia was decades ago....

Young man with a gun. Good for him. Police in Cobb County, Ga., responded to a call at 9 p.m. on a Sunday night in late March after the report of a shooting at a home. Upon arrival, officers discovered that a group of would-be home invaders entered a local residence and were met by an armed 17-year-old resident. The young resident fired at the invaders, striking two of them. One of the suspects, a 21-year-old, died at the scene. Another 21-year-old suspect was found with a gunshot wound to the leg. Police say the two 21-year-olds, along with a 16-year-old accomplice, attempted an armed robbery at the home when they were confronted by the armed resident. The surviving 21-year-old suspect and his 16-year-old accomplice have been charged with aggravated assault, armed robbery, burglary, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime and murder.
