Of course there are the obvious great and popular choices. I don't know which of these veers into "popular" (I don't know if any are "great"). In no particular order:
1) About Time 2) The Fifth Element 3) Chronicles of Riddick 4) Moulin Rouge 5) 12 Monkeys
What are yours?

Of those, only ever seen Moulin Rouge (meh), and 12 Monkeys (weird).
Haven't seen any of Jasmen's choices, which I find oddly comforting.
I'd have to think a bit about my picks... are these supposed to be our personal favs, or just off the wall selections?

I think more off-the-wall. If I posted personal favs, many would be more mainline choices.

1. Miller's Crossing 2. Weekend at Bernie's 3. Out of the Past 4. Farewell My Lovely 5. LA Confidential Greg I've seen 2. and 5. (I remember having high expectations of L.A. Confidential and being unimpressed, but it was a long time ago.) I'll have to look into the others.

meh was my first reaction to Moulin Rouge. It was watching it a second time that made me really like it. Like...Napoleon Dynamite. 12 Monkeys is probably my favourite Terry Gilliam movie. I like weird. It's less weird than Brazil (which I was going to put on the list, but it's considered by many critics to be a "great movie," so I left it off). 12 Monkeys is also Brad Pitt's best performance ever, IMO.

Love Balls of Fury and most anything with Christopher Walken. I've come across that but never actually watched it. Now I'm going to have to move that up the priority list.

1. Woodlawn 2. I Can Only Imagine 3. Instant Family 4. Balls of Fury 5. Fighting with My Family I'm only familiar with 2 of those, and I don't think I've seen any... Woodlawn is a Christian-based football movie, based on a real event. I Can Only Imagine, I’m sure you already know. Instant family is a comedy about adopting foster kids. Funny and heartwarming. Balls of Fury is just outrageous and over the top ping pong comedy. Fighting with My Family is biopic on WWE superstar Paige and how her family’s love for wrestling inspired her to fulfill her dream.
