Instead, they were probably on the way out; the party was losing funding as well and some Nazi party leaders were looking for the door.
That hasn't happened. Trump won the popular vote (without resorting to political violence), his party has won the Senate, might have a larger majority in the House, and there was a shift to Trump and Republicans across lots of demographics.
You might disagree with Trump's policies (I do that's why I didn't vote for him), but the Nazi/fascist stuff has been overplayed - as seen by last night's results, very overplayed.
Without resorting to political violence? WTF was JAN 6, 2021? The threat trumP posed wasn't overplayed. It was cheered for and voted for and ushered in by stupid, fearful people whom you are now defending or worse. Wake up, man. This isn't a fvcking game. |

He didn't resort to political violence to gain office, which is what the Nazis (and the Italian fascists) did. There is no paramilitary arm of the Trump campaign or Republican party.
And as long as we're talking about January 6, the vast, vast majority of those people had absolutely no plan. They committed trespass, vandalism, theft and some other crimes, but had no plan for overthrowing the government or anything else.
There were a small few with a plan, and of the tiny minority that have been charged with sedition, none of those have ever been tied back to Trump or his campaign as far as I know. Feel free to correct me.
