The bipartisanship was very limited and ultimately vanished in a relatively short period of time. Whether or not fascism is seen as good or necessary is irrelevant as to whether or not the actions are fascist (or authoritarian, illiberal, etc) in nature. One side overwhelmingly supported these actions, one side thought they should have gone much further, one side is completely incapable of admitting they were wrong, and one side would do all of that again if presented another opportunity. It's all the same group of people and they overwhelmingly support the democrats. I didn't support Trump until the left lost their mother fucking minds. I don't think that's true, in Texas we had the same restrictions as everyone else. Both sides got things wrong, but to me the rightwing lost their minds and started thinking the whole thing was a hoax, and wasn't a threat at all. At the end of the day, the harm done to individuals will no doubt persist but the policy is gone. Most expansions of government authority ratchet up, they rarely fade away. But this one did, which means it wasn't some fascist turn, some threshold that we can't come back from. It was emergency measures undertaken at a moment of intense crisis. Trying to steal an election, on the other hand, is very different. Lol. You absolutely did not have the same restrictions. I visited Texas and other southern states during this time frame. The restrictions weren't even close to what we experienced in California and probably every other blue state. You keep diving into the realm of irrelevancy.
