I voted this morning too. I got there at 10 AM and walked out at 11AM. When I got there the line to go in was not that long. I guess about 12 people. When they let us inside, the line was a lot longer. They had several people with lines inside to identify people as citizens. And when we filled out our two papers for who we are voting for. Fill in the circle completely for who you are voting for. And when done go to the five machines taking in the ballot. You slide in the ballot, each one and the machine reads what you filled in with your pen. That is how the votes are counted. When I left. The line outside was a lot longer. I didn’t count them but I bet it was near 75 or more. I did not see any Trump or Harris shirts on anyone. All was peaceful. Why a machine? Because you know, Deus ex-machina, God is in the machine...

I don’t need to do anything. Trust in these Sacred Institutions, such as the corporate media, has been crashing for decades. You want to blame me for this, pretending I’m part of the cause instead of a messenger. Don’t blame me. I’m far too young and unimportant to be responsible for this. Perhaps blame those who have failed to maintain the trust they used to have? They have more money and power than I do. You're not that young. You gotta read the whole sentence. I’m not young, yet I’m far too young to be responsible for it.

And stored forever. Machines are not for either party. Accurate count. Nothing to do with outer space or electronics that can invade.

I wonder why he is so involved with our political site. He is supposed to be in France. I have never been there. But no one that I know that has been or is there working now ever said anything good about that government.

I thought it was your Republicans who are pro-Russian now? Well, the subset of Republicans who are Far Right think Russia is swell, and that Turkey's leader is to be admired. All countries since the beginning of recorded history, have had those living within it who wanted the exact opposite governance than the one they currently had/have, never acknowledging that it was the existing government which brought their country to that point in history. That the existing government, but any reasonable metric, was successful. And what REALLY differentiates countries, is how they deal with these sub-populations. Freon My aunt Anna was married to a Russian. Uncle Roman. He was a great guy. It is not the Russian people that are a problem. It is their political party that is in charge. And our democrat party is slowly trying to become the same as that Russian party.

Except when they're hacked... The electronic machines used in the last elections either will not be used, or they have been electronically repaired so China cannot vote here. I think this year the count will be more accurate. And I hope the American running president will be elected again this time.

Your sources of news are the only ones who are not fact-checked, the only ones who have been found criminally guilty of intentionally lying to their base, the only ones to fire their opinion hosts who spread false information. Yet you still trust them completely. To the rest of us, archie, that identifies you as someone who does not care if you receive the truth or not. You are more interested in listening to those who say what you want to hear, and that makes your opinions both inaccurate, and dangerous. We just want the truth. We don't care what the truth is, we want to know it, the good AND the bad, so we can make decisions that positively impact us as a whole, and not just individually, like you do. Freon

Just received email confirmation that my ballot was received. Next step will be sending to Registrar, and then it will be counted.
"The US Postal Service has collected your ballot for the upcoming November 5, 2024, General Election and will deliver it to us soon."
I love the fact that I know exactly where my ballot is, and what is happening with it.
I NEVER felt that way with in-person voting. It always just went into some box, and then maybe it was counted.
With mail-in, I KNOW.
Do you?

In fact, if anything, it is HARDER to prove identity for mail-in, than in person. Totally worth the effort, tho. Freon
