I'm seeing a lot of people from Carville to Obama fretting about blacks voting for Trump. "That's not acceptable" Obama lectures lol.
I don't get it. Kamala chose a white man to be her husband.
Why can't black people choose a white man to be president?

Because it’s racist then.

They chose Biden, didn't they Was there a black candidate? I'm thinking you're not understanding the comparison here. There are millions of black men Kamala could have chosen to be her husband.
She chose a white man despite having the option of a black man.
Are you caught up?

Clearly. And offensive to boot based on the visceral reactions and the hectoring I'm seeing from the Democrats.
Altho I wonder how many black men are seeing articles written about the Met Gala promoting "black dandyism" and thinking "holy shit this is what supporting Democrat culture has done to us" and understandably run screaming the other way.

Kamala prefers white men. They're "the best."
So, especially in the face of that belief of Kamala's, why would it be so hard to understand black men choosing someone other than Kamala?

It wouldn't be notable if the white man they chose had friendly policies. It's only a story because the policies are outright hostile to them. We are so caught up in narrative and culture war debates that we forget "political gravity" exists and can be quantified and measured in dollars and cents. Put in other words, broken, under-founded and failing social services & institutions have a real world effect on people's lives. It's not theoretical, its caloric.

In what way are policies "outright hostile" to black, specifically, men?
The only thing I've noticed people forgetting is the need to tie their arguments to reality. It's become rampant especially on the left in recent years. Is this another one of those "I'm smarter than they are so I know what's in their best interests" arguments?

In an economic way. The support for capital over labor. It's not about being smart, it's about being moored to the facts and staying focused on the goal.

Not specifically, no. It's a specific instance of a more general question: why does anyone south of 1 mil net worth even entertain the idea of supporting the GOP?

Not specifically, no. It's a specific instance of a more general question: why does anyone south of 1 mil net worth even entertain the idea of supporting the GOP? Because there is a concerted effort by conservative (bullshit.. conservatives are extinct) right-wing white men to promote a "I got mine.. you get yours.." narrative..
The fact that they were systemically aided in gaining that wealth.. the "I got mine.." part .. they reject out of hand ..

Except it's specifically being targeted at black men. That's the point of this thread. Black men are being lectured about choosing a white man to be president over a black woman. Perhaps you need to familiarize yourself with what Obama and Carville and other pundits are saying? I'm just suggesting perhaps Kamala choosing a white man to be her husband is a contributing factor.
What is it you're finding so hard to understand about how the richest people in America support the Democrats? I filled a whole thread with data and evidence demonstrating this not long ago, in response to you. I'm beginning to think you're not as focused on facts as you suggest ...

Okay I'm not sure what problem you have with my response? Do black men not live in the economy? Are they somehow immune to economic concerns because they are black?
