Waiting for you to provide examples of Trump's plagiarism. This kind of whataboutism makes you look like a fool.
Just admit that you hate the man for no coherent reason and move on.
If I hated Donald, I would have no issue acknowledging it, but I just don't. I feel zero hate towards that person. I know your sources of truth tell you that I MUST hate him, because why else would I be working so hard to make sure he stays out of power. It's a simple explanation that anyone can understand, and that's EXACTLY why they tell it to you. They think you are stupid, and that all you are CAPABLE of understanding is something that simplistic. And they may be right about you. If you can hear that explanation, and NOT feel insulted that they could not find other/better reasons, then you ARE what they say, Paleo. My reasons for not wanting him in power are based on my own intuition, and on the evidence of one of the worst presidencies, one of the biggest, if not THE biggest, failures at that job I ever thought was possible. Now if you can see that same evidence, and think he's amazing, then Fox's view of you is likely correct. You are watching News for Dummies, and I guess that's appropriate for you. Why won't YOU just admit that there is NOTHING Donald can do that would make you not support him. He could literally start killing people, and you'd still think he was a good pick. I simply cannot take part in that level of blind loyalty. To anyone. I also despise Steve Jobs, btw, and would not own an Apple product if you paid me to take it. Not since the early 90s have Apple products been superior to any others. They stopped innovating in the mid-90s, and have not done so since, but people still put stickers on the back of their cars showing they are part of the Apple Clan. Brilliant marketing, but average products. Same with Fundamentalist Christianity. And the same is true of Donald. The reality is that people like you need to feel like you are part of something big, something that can change the world, and even if it is BS, you will still blindly follow it to self-oblivion to have that feeling. I see it, but I have never felt that need, so I really can't relate. Freon It's almost as if Pale Leo was the forum leper, and you were Mother Teresa.

But the OP isn't about Agent Orange, it's about the Dems top 'o the ticket, Kamala Harris. Why is this so hard? An admission of Harris' shortcomings is not an endorsement of Trump. Mojo, you are one of the very few people here who still have intellectual honesty. This is yet another thread where a valid news item is met by lame attempts to deflect or simply troll the OP.

Any criticism of Harris for plagiarism then? Or just pointing out that it’s ok because Trump (literally Hitler) did it? The authors of the book should have been more careful. From the Washington Post hereThe claims involved about 500 words out of a 66,500-word book. The sources and statistics that Harris used are attributed in footnotes, but in some instances she and Hamilton did not use quotation marks even though they took language almost verbatim. Harris was involved in the book — coming up with the concept, sharing her experiences as a prosecutor and district attorney in San Francisco during long interview sessions, and reviewing drafts, according to a person involved in the book, speaking on the condition of anonymity due to the sensitivity of the subject. But Harris was not involved in the formatting of outside excerpts and citations, which have been the focus of the latest criticisms, the person said, adding that those details would have been handled by her co-author and editors. It was just a widdew bit of pwagiawism. As a percentage of total words in the book!!

"....part of something big, something that can change the world..." Isn't that what liberals espouse? Big change? You see hate where you choose to see it, Paleo, nothing more. Don't tell me you get to define what an objective person does and does not do. You are nowhere qualified to make that call. Intuition relies on a person's innate ability to understand a situation when not all the variables are made available. Emotion is indeed an aspect of it, but only as part of a holistic analysis, by which I mean that emotion does not dominate the conclusions of intuition. This understanding is common sense, but I suppose that is not something you possess, as you do not seem to understand intuition at all. I mention FUNDAMENTALIST Christianity explicitly, because I see a pattern with you far righties. You all seem to need to feel you are part of something bigger than yourselves, and it's fairly obvious that is the mechanism by which you are being manipulated. It's right there in front of you, but you are blind to it, because seeing it for what it is, would force you to realize this huge flaw in yourselves. And your pridefulness would never allow that. No idea what you are talking about with the liberal thing. Can you provide an example? Freon

Compared to you, I'm an expert on objectivity. Seeing you triggered over objectivity tells us that you know it's something that you lack.
Did your intuition tell you that you're not bright enough to understand what intuition is?
Intuition is intimately linked to our emotions, arising from complex neural circuits dedicated to the information processing of our feelings.
You're not credible because your alleged intuition is not telling you to avoid voting for an incompetent California socialist whose claim to fame is prostituting herself to powerful benefactors.
So, your "TRUMP IS AN EXISTENTIAL THREAT TO DEMOCRACY!!!" shtick doesn't count as being manipulated to be part of something bigger? Oops, that's gonna leave a mark.

You definitely do NOT see reality, lol. Not even remotely close to it. You see what you want to, and have no realization that is what is happening. Looking at you from the outside, Paleo, it's incredible and sad. Incredible that you REALLY don't know it's happening to you. Sad because you don't realize you are harming yourself, more than anyone else. According to you, you are an expert in EVERYTHING, compared to me, lol. That must feel pretty good. Web search is NOT Research. So you found a site that says what you want me to hear, but I can just as easily find ones that say what I want you to hear. They are poor evidence to convince someone else, yet you continue to use them for that purpose, while bafflingly at the same time ignoring sites presented to you by others, that suggest an opposite one. So ONLY your sites are evidence, and all others are just bunk. Convenient for you, but Kindergarten research, to me. In the end, all that really matters in these convos is your opinion on issues, vs mine. I could care less what convinces you because it's already occurred. It's done. Nothing I say will change that. This is why my goal here is NEVER to convince you of anything. To even try is foolishness, which is why you continue to offer sites that support your views. You actually believe they should influence me, lol. I don't need to call you foolish, Paleo, your own actions do that for me. But I do not hate Donald, Paleo, and if you still cannot accept that, then you choose to believe in fiction. Now, I will agree that I don't respect him. I don't consider him an intelligent person at all. I don't think he is well-read, or that he embraced the higher education made available to him as a coastal elite. I also do not consider him a good negotiator, or someone of integrity or honor. But he is EXCELLENT at marketing to a certain demographic. You. Freon

Freon Unlike you, I demonstrate my expertise, limited though it may be. Perhaps you have greater knowledge and expertise, but you've never demonstrated such skills. All you do is arrogantly brag about your education. It's like you're claiming to have the fastest, most powerful car but never opening the garage and proving it.
You claim to defer to experts, yet when I post a definition from an expert, you dismiss it out of hand. You're not really interested in science and data, are you Freon? The narrative alone is sacred to you, not the facts. Feel free to post a counter argument....after all, that's what is normally done on a discussion forum.
What you post about Trump is vicious and hateful, not thoughtful, detailed, policy based disagreement. You can pretend it's not hate if you'd like, but that's not the way it sounds.

You. Freon This is like watching a Princeton math professor have a discussion with a first grader about a complex theorem. Freon you are not making sense. Most all you wrote is pure emotion and no fact. That’s fine. We need to have people who are good at dancing and singing and theatre. But boy, what are you even talking about? Yes, I agree with that analogy completely. Shocking that you do as well. This is wonderful progress that you can finally see it! Freon

More proof that he's closer to the first grader than he ever thought possible.

I also do not consider him a good negotiator, or someone of integrity or honor. But he is EXCELLENT at marketing to a certain demographic. You.
I rarely mention my education. It's actually YOU that brings it up more often than I do. And when it IS discussed, I am the first to point out that knowledge is NOT intelligence, and that my area of expertise is NOT in political science, or anything related to politics or psychology. The ONLY areas I can claim expertise are in the understanding of science, and training in critical thought. And you say I have not demonstrated either, which shows more YOUR lack of understanding of either, than my not showing them obviously and often in my communications. You are basically telling us that though these are both overtly demonstrated, you cannot see it. But as I've stated repeatedly, I am not here to convince you of anything, even with respect to my training and abilities. You are not the type who would ever change their view, so trying is pointless, and I'm not fond of wasting my time. Web search is NOT Research. So I could care less what sites you link to. You have no clue how to actually find the truth using the web, so why should I waste my time following the opinions you consider to be evidentiary? Now, if you showed BOTH sides of an issue, and then demonstrated that one had a stronger argument than the other, that would be different. You would at least be TRYING to see the truth. But you just enter a search that asks for sites that already have the opinion you searched for. You find it, you post it, and to you, it's evidence. Pathetic. Naive. Juvenile. I am interested in anything I've posted that you consider hateful. I hold no hate for Donald. Nor do I hold love for Biden. Those words have no meaning to me with political figures or with business ones, which is why I mentioned Steve Jobs. People love Jobs. But he was just a poor technologist with excellent marketing skills, to me. To hate any of these people, I would have to know them personally, and I don't. Maybe you can hate without that requirement, so you think everyone can? Freon
