Fascinating. Multiple far right responses to me, none actually denying the accusation. I'm sure you will say something like, 'it's too stupid to even respond to', but I don't buy it. Your guy has a copy of Mein Kampf he keeps close, and for someone who obviously does not read, to have THAT as his go-to for reading is disturbing. He has quoted parts of it in his rhetoric on too many occasions for it to be a coincidence. If you support Donald, you support someone who views Mein Kampf favorably. You support a convicted criminal. You support someone incapable of tying a Boy Scout knot. Someone who has raped and exploited women. Someone who did NOT accept a peaceful transfer of power. Donald is a basic scumbag, and if you vote for him, YOU are a scumbag. Freon And anyone that vote’s democrat is either mentally ill or a true enemy of the country. How are you doing? Feeling better? I feel fantastic knowing Donald is going to lose, archie. How do you feel? Freon

Open direct political support should always be welcome. Corruption is the killer. Open direct political support is not. An example might be the difference between selling books to help fund ones campaign, as opposed to raising reelection funds which are used to pay for ones criminal defense attorneys.

It’s just irrelevant. Would you like to discuss Kamala Harris’s plagiarism? If you’d rather discuss Mein Kampf, then start a thread. They are clearly connected, because you have an issue with one candidate plagiarizing, but none with your candidate. It's the same issue, and if you don't see that, you don't care about the issue at all. Freon But I think Trump is an amoral narcissist, broadly. I love that you’re admitting that Harris is basically the same, even if you’ll now deny it.

That’s rich. It’s adorable you think anybody but wealthy donors purchasing favor actually bought this book.

Time to destroy your 'source'.... rationalwiki.org/wiki/Christopher_RufoHe seems nice.... rationalwiki.org/wiki/Christopher_Rufo#Views_and_activism_related_to_racePromoting racist conspiracy theoriesIn September 2024, Rufo offered a "$5,000 bounty" for evidence supporting the cat-eating Haitians hoaxWikipedia after Donald Trump's referenced it during his debate with Kamala Harris.[66][67] Also in September 2024, Rufo himself posted (in the best tradition of conspiracy theorists) a very low quality video, originally posted to social media in August 2023, of animal carcasses on a grill. The man in the video, as well as Rufo himself, alleged that the animal carcasses looked like cats; in addition, Rufo claimed to have interviewed neighbors who alleged that the grill belonged to African-American immigrants. To much of social media not caught up in the conspiracy theory however, the animal carcasses clearly did not look like cats, and looked far more like chickens.[68][69] Poor, stupid Fobbit. Didn't vet his 'source'. How'd this post go for you? Did you see the other articles? Did you see this is actually Stefan Weber's work that Rufo referred to? Newsweek? Semafor? CNN is confirming the plagiarism now as well. www.cnn.com/2024/10/14/politics/kamala-harris-plagiarism-allegation/index.html

For the purposes of this thread, I am agreeing that YOU see her this way, but I have not agreed to do so as well. Freon Any criticism of Harris for plagiarism then? Or just pointing out that it’s ok because Trump (literally Hitler) did it? I haven't read the article, so I have no opinion on the issue. But for you to have a negative opinion of Harris for this alleged 'crime', with ZERO problem with Donald for identical or worse versions of it, is hypocrisy. How can you not see that? You are not pointing out that one candidate is different than the other (assuming this reporting is even accurate), and if it is accurate, then in terms of scale, you are not pointing out that Harris is more egregious than Donald for this type of transgression. And since you still support Donald, this issue is actually meaningless to you. You are a hypocrite, and so your view of Harris actually makes me want to vote for her even more, so I do not associate myself with people like you. I want to be as opposite of someone like you as possible. Freon

This is about you seeing Harris doing something you are feigning dislike for, while Donald does the same thing, but worse, and you have no issue with that. That makes you a hypocrite. I refuse to be a hypocrite, rabbit. And those who are hypocrites, are people whose views I would never take seriously, and certainly would never take advice from. Freon

If I hated Donald, I would have no issue acknowledging it, but I just don't. I feel zero hate towards that person. I know your sources of truth tell you that I MUST hate him, because why else would I be working so hard to make sure he stays out of power. It's a simple explanation that anyone can understand, and that's EXACTLY why they tell it to you. They think you are stupid, and that all you are CAPABLE of understanding is something that simplistic. And they may be right about you. If you can hear that explanation, and NOT feel insulted that they could not find other/better reasons, then you ARE what they say, Paleo. My reasons for not wanting him in power are based on my own intuition, and on the evidence of one of the worst presidencies, one of the biggest, if not THE biggest, failures at that job I ever thought was possible. Now if you can see that same evidence, and think he's amazing, then Fox's view of you is likely correct. You are watching News for Dummies, and I guess that's appropriate for you. Why won't YOU just admit that there is NOTHING Donald can do that would make you not support him. He could literally start killing people, and you'd still think he was a good pick. I simply cannot take part in that level of blind loyalty. To anyone. I also despise Steve Jobs, btw, and would not own an Apple product if you paid me to take it. Not since the early 90s have Apple products been superior to any others. They stopped innovating in the mid-90s, and have not done so since, but people still put stickers on the back of their cars showing they are part of the Apple Clan. Brilliant marketing, but average products. Same with Fundamentalist Christianity. And the same is true of Donald. The reality is that people like you need to feel like you are part of something big, something that can change the world, and even if it is BS, you will still blindly follow it to self-oblivion to have that feeling. I see it, but I have never felt that need, so I really can't relate. Freon

But the OP isn't about Agent Orange, it's about the Dems top 'o the ticket, Kamala Harris.
Why is this so hard?
An admission of Harris' shortcomings is not an endorsement of Trump.

For the purposes of this thread, I am agreeing that YOU see her this way, but I have not agreed to do so as well. Freon Any criticism of Harris for plagiarism then? Or just pointing out that it’s ok because Trump (literally Hitler) did it? The authors of the book should have been more careful. From the Washington Post hereThe claims involved about 500 words out of a 66,500-word book. The sources and statistics that Harris used are attributed in footnotes, but in some instances she and Hamilton did not use quotation marks even though they took language almost verbatim. Harris was involved in the book — coming up with the concept, sharing her experiences as a prosecutor and district attorney in San Francisco during long interview sessions, and reviewing drafts, according to a person involved in the book, speaking on the condition of anonymity due to the sensitivity of the subject. But Harris was not involved in the formatting of outside excerpts and citations, which have been the focus of the latest criticisms, the person said, adding that those details would have been handled by her co-author and editors.
