A man identifying himself only as Anthony called into Sirius XM’s “Dan Abrams Show” this week to share the story of his father-in-law, whose property near Ashville, North Carolina, was badly damaged by Helene. Despite the destruction, Anthony said his father-in-law is unwilling to accept assistance from the Federal Emergency Management Agency.
“He has refused all FEMA help because he’s a hardcore Trumper,” Anthony told Abrams. “He literally believes that if he accepts anything from FEMA, they’re going to take his house.”
Anthony told Abrams that his father-in-law lost “almost everything” in the storm and, days later, still doesn’t have access to necessary resources like food. Anthony said that despite showing his father-in-law the facts, he refuses to listen to anyone who isn’t Trump.
“We’ve sent him all the FEMA bulletins,” Anthony said. “We’ve sent him all the stuff from the fact-checkers. He doesn’t believe it. He thinks it’s all — he just believes Trump. ... It’s a cult. He’s a cult member. I’m sorry to say it. He’s a cult member and he’s my father-in-law and it sucks.”
An anonymous guy calls into a radio show and tells a tale about his “father in law” and MSNBC writes a story about it and Fiddler posts it to LNF and then all of the NPCs take it entirely as fact. That’s incredible. But it can’t be verified as a lie, so it doesn’t count I guess? lol. Too bad it's not about transvestites doing stuff in schools because then you would believe everything and then some, asshole!

Haha, so according to Pete and a link he posted recently, groceries went up 23% since 2020. But Pete, for reasons only known to Marjorie Taylor Pete, shops at a store that(for some unknown reason) has decided to double their prices. This store is called Stop And Shop, and they must have zero competition, as they have decided(according to MTP) to basically double their prices over the past four years. I'd like to ask anybody besides Pete - since Pete is too stupid to not shop at an outrageously overpriced grocery store - if they would continue shopping at a place that has an increased their prices much further than actual grocery inflation. Does that make sense to anybody outside of MTP? It's been well established that peetape is a liar and a flake and I suspect that he's also a little bit senile, all based on his posting, unlike Limey I never met the guy. Limey says that he's not as bad in person than he is on line... well, given that there's nowhere to go but up from what I see, I can't say I am surprised. I always picture Pete as being somewhat cogent. The guy is clearly not stupid, but then he goes and says some of the dumbest shit imaginable. It doesn't make sense. I feel it's just some sort of illogical, partisan, knee jerk reaction. Take the MTG hurricane thread as just one example, Bananas.

Fascinating. He doesn't have access to food... Captain Faceplant didn't think to question the veracity of the story before sharing.

Hahahahahahaha . . . You rule. I love you. The fact that you're trying to claim you never said this is beyond funny. I definitely posted about used to pay x and now we pay y for the same goods. No meats and no cleaning supplies. I couldn’t say it was 100 to 300 or 120 to 300. Doesn’t sound at all right. Our last grocery bill was over 400. It’s never been under 200. At what point does paying more to live better become a problem? And if that is your main problem, thank Biden and pray for Harris.

Didn’t you hear the “news” the “journalist” provided from the “press” about how an anonymous guy called into a radio show and told the show about how his “father in law” is just the biggest Trumper and he is just refusing food and stuff from FEMA? And then Fiddler posted this “news” story to LNF and a bunch of people were like “omg I can’t believe that’s all definitely happening!”? Lots to learn from that. WOW.

Why not post a story of someone who qualifies for welfare but into proud to live off others. Why slam this “person” for his choice? I tend to agree. But I’m focusing on that which I find most interesting, and that’s the side which constantly accuses the other side of believing lies is constantly immediately believing anonymous sources, leaving a clear path for the powerful to lie without any ability for anybody to debunk the lie. A “journalist” could easily get a friend or colleague to call into a show “anonymously” and tell a silly story and then they make a whole story about it and all the NPCs will share the story, feeling virtuous. Nothing actually happened, to your point, even if the story happened to be real. But suddenly, the journalist has clicks and a fabricated or irrelevant story that makes the NPCs feel virtuous, which helps with the programming. It’s similar to the race hoaxes, which are well documented all across the country. The incentive for the race hoaxer is similar to the “journalist” here.

I think we should stay on topic here. A guy called anonymously into a radio show saying that his father-in-law is such a crazy Trumper that he's refusing aid from FEMA and MSNBC wrote a whole piece about that call-in and then Fiddler shared it to LNF and everybody is like "WOW I CAN'T BELIEVE THAT DEFINITELY HAPPENED. TRUMPERS ARE SO STUPID."
I think this should be one of those threads that never dies.

Because THAT effects one person... and that person brings it on themselves ..
The Cult's disinformation, misinformation and attacks on FEMA effect thousands ..

An official with the U.S. Forest Service, which is supporting recovery efforts along with the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), sent a message to numerous federal agencies at around 1 p.m. on Saturday warning that FEMA had advised all federal responders in Rutherford County to "stand down and evacuate the county immediately," The Washington Post reported.
National Guard troops had come across two trucks of "armed militia saying they were out hunting FEMA," the email said. "The IMTs [incident management teams] have been notified and are coordinating the evacuation of all assigned personnel in that county."
A FEMA spokesperson confirmed to Newsweek on Monday that the agency had made changes to its recovery efforts to ensure the safety of staff and survivors. Disaster survivor assistance teams worked temporarily at fixed locations and secure areas, and no longer went door to door out of an abundance of caution.

Oh no now they're everywhere. So many militias out hunting FEMA. I'm afraid. The militia threat never seems to do anything. But man, they are everywhere doing racist and mean stuff. We don't see any of it, but that's because they're like ninjas. I'm reminded, for some reason, of the murder-by-fire-extinguisher that happened on January 6th that was reported everywhere. And then AOC was almost raped and murdered in a completely different building and she took some low-level admin's tennis shoes so she could run faster.

What is so sad and pathetic - is that if we were watching wwii era footage of Germanys propaganda machine doing crap exactly like this we’d say how could those people - citizens - be so stupid. Yet we are literally living in the midst of it and half the country is buying the democrat and media propaganda. And you provide proof after proof it’s happening and they still ignore it.
