A man identifying himself only as Anthony called into Sirius XM’s “Dan Abrams Show” this week to share the story of his father-in-law, whose property near Ashville, North Carolina, was badly damaged by Helene. Despite the destruction, Anthony said his father-in-law is unwilling to accept assistance from the Federal Emergency Management Agency.
“He has refused all FEMA help because he’s a hardcore Trumper,” Anthony told Abrams. “He literally believes that if he accepts anything from FEMA, they’re going to take his house.”
Anthony told Abrams that his father-in-law lost “almost everything” in the storm and, days later, still doesn’t have access to necessary resources like food. Anthony said that despite showing his father-in-law the facts, he refuses to listen to anyone who isn’t Trump.
“We’ve sent him all the FEMA bulletins,” Anthony said. “We’ve sent him all the stuff from the fact-checkers. He doesn’t believe it. He thinks it’s all — he just believes Trump. ... It’s a cult. He’s a cult member. I’m sorry to say it. He’s a cult member and he’s my father-in-law and it sucks.”

I actually lived in southeast florida by the coast for almost 20 years. Through several large hurricanes. I don’t recall ever needed femas assistance. My insurance company came out. Usaa is great. Some people came by and took all my scrap metal down when my lanai came down. The roofers gave me a new roof. My builder replaced an outside porch wall that blew out. FEMA did always set up an ice and water station at the park. Never needed to use it. Is it the free choice aspect that has you all twisted.

You also claimed to have paid a few hundred bucks for groceries that cost a benjamin just four years ago, so why should anybody believe a word you say?

It should be obvious to anyone by now that peetape is a fucking liar that makes up fake ad hoc anecdotes to push his agenda.

He doesn't have the balls enough to come clean on it and admit he was full of shit. He's been called out multiple times, by multiple people, and he still can't sack up and admit that it was pure theatrics.

Weve never spent 100 or less at the grocery story. Always more. So hard to believe I’d state 100 to 300

An anonymous guy calls into a radio show and tells a tale about his “father in law” and MSNBC writes a story about it and Fiddler posts it to LNF and then all of the NPCs take it entirely as fact. That’s incredible. But it can’t be verified as a lie, so it doesn’t count I guess? lol.

I definitely posted about used to pay x and now we pay y for the same goods. No meats and no cleaning supplies. I couldn’t say it was 100 to 300 or 120 to 300. Doesn’t sound at all right. Our last grocery bill was over 400. It’s never been under 200.

Oh shit. What do you know. Crazy. A quick google found a thread.
Are you ready to disappear? Cause this is when it usually happens. Keep in mind, it wasn't the exact thread I was searching for, so you might want to stick around. How do you feel, Marjorie? You wanna have a go?
Please say yes. I'll drop some knowledge.

Haha, so according to Pete and a link he posted recently, groceries went up 23% since 2020.
But Pete, for reasons only known to Marjorie Taylor Pete, shops at a store that(for some unknown reason) has decided to double their prices. This store is called Stop And Shop, and they must have zero competition, as they have decided(according to MTP) to basically double their prices over the past four years.
I'd like to ask anybody besides Pete - since Pete is too stupid to not shop at an outrageously overpriced grocery store - if they would continue shopping at a place that has an increased their prices much further than actual grocery inflation. Does that make sense to anybody outside of MTP?

It's been well established that peetape is a liar and a flake and I suspect that he's also a little bit senile, all based on his posting, unlike Limey I never met the guy. Limey says that he's not as bad in person than he is on line... well, given that there's nowhere to go but up from what I see, I can't say I am surprised.
