Yes, a lot of jobs. Not for most people. Government style jobs.
Public sector payrolls added 31,000 jobs in September, mostly in education. That is above and beyond the usual return to work of more than one million teachers each September. The three-month moving average on payrolls has reached 186,000, up from 140,000 in August. Private sector gains were driven by a 78,000 jump in leisure and hospitality jobs.

And your border is now under a larger amount of illegals coming. They obviously want to get in now in case Trump is elected. These are all criminals because they are breaking our immigration laws that protect us and the country. The democrat party in charge is guilty of not enforcing our laws for immigration. They should all be fired and some probably jailed. And you dimwits have no idea of the danger you have been put in. And you dimwits have no idea of what might and could happen to you and this country. You are all an enemy of the country that want to keep the traitors in charge. Yeah, your (D) party. According to our constitution, they are traitors. We will have to hang them.

I call this the "it feels good, man" epistemology. If it makes me feel good, its true, if it makes me feel bad, it must be false. Never mind facts and data. Truth is relative. It doesn't get more transparently biased than that. Given the abject failure of these initial reports, and the recently well publicized admission of these inaccuracies, I would imagine you would apply this same principle to those who see this report as good news as well. Just because the data is revised after more info doesn't mean there is an abject failure here. And I don't think you're being fair as to the revisions, which could be up or down. mishtalk.com/economics/in-honor-of-labor-day-lets-review-bls-job-revisions/I agree anyone that points to these numbers as the final word also suffers from bias, but we don't need to take such a strong position to take something from these numbers and see them as a signal that the economy is doing okay, and far better than MAGA would want it to be.

Fair enough. But I’d like to see the analysis provided from a more recent sample. It wouldn’t surprise me if it took a while to realize the why and how of manipulation. Additionally, I’d need to see the magnitude of revisions as well. I’m obviously not asking you to do this, just relaying my thoughts as I take that information in.

Finding patterns (constant large revisions downward from initial reports, supported by publications like the NYT) and predicting a continuing trend is “rooting against”. Just swallow what they tell you about jobs even after being fed consistent lies and/or mistakes is “offering solutions”. Poor, sad GRU apparathcik Fobbit. Can't be happy unless other Americans are as miserable as he is. Imagine failing so hard after your country handed everything to you.... All is fine since the day Biden sat in that office. And now a real clown Biden’s VP is going to save us all. Ha ha haha. 3,200 store locations ________________________________________ This has pushed some already-struggling retailers and restaurants to the brink, sparking a rash of bankruptcies and the closures of nearly 3,200 store locations in 2024. That represents a 24 percent increase in store closures over the same period in 2023, according to a CBS News analysis of data collected by retail tracker CoreSight.

I think we can all agree that this is not a good report.
On the upside, inflation is falling through the floor. The beast is dead. We killed it.

Revised downward. Revised downward. Revised downward. Do you see the trend? You cant tell me the media is t completely in the bag for Harris. They’ve been pimping an amazing upcoming jobs report for weeks ahead of the actual report. Which is one of the worst ever - notwithstanding pandemic numbers. What a joke.

I think it's a win to see the inflation rate approach target.

Sorry to say. The (D) propaganda has fooled so many people. And the anti-American party has gained so many now ignorant people. Yes, now this country is in great danger. And so many only say "huh".

College to a slight degree, and that depends heavy on major. www.pewresearch.org/politics/2023/07/12/demographic-profiles-of-republican-and-democratic-voters/When post grad is broken down into concentrations, those with degrees in history, philosophy, art, and various teaching disciplines lean very hard democrat, while MBA's, business lean more republican...but this isn't surprising, I don't think...

I think it's a win to see the inflation rate approach target. what all seem to ignore is a) the rate of wage increases relative to inflation and b) the type of jobs being added Manufacturing jobs for example have a substantially greater economic multiplier (see IMPLAN) than service type jobs.... The other issues is how many eligible (working age) people who have dropped out of the workforce denominator. Simply look at total number working, and IRS tax receipts per capita and you can see what a disaster the last several years have been. If wages were fine relative to inflation you would not see so much of the population bitching so loudly about prices...you would also not see so many states struggling with budgets and increasing taxes.
