Its Missiles Can Reach US Ally in Three Minutes
Is this the dumbest thing to say in this situation. Is the US going to say "ok sorry, we won't give weapons anymore"

But they were not able to compete with the US economy. Neither can China, though they too, will have to learn the hard way. Russia is a proxy for China, as Iran is a proxy for Russia. Freon

Freon I hope you really don't believe that because China is buying up American companies and land not vice versa Let them. They just increase their dependence on us. And you don't kill something you are dependent on. You think we have no assets in China? The whole principle behind interdependence of nations, especially ones equally powerful, is to leverage that interdependence towards maintaining peace. Were it up to me, I would have all countries dependent on each other. A country that burrows into itself, that seeks to disconnect itself from the rest of the world economically, might as well be putting a giant red target on itself, and asking the rest of the world to attack it. China isn't, and has no prospect of being so. Nor is the West a military threat to China, although that was true for the USSR, too. The status of China as prime problem for capitalist democracies is similar to the USSR's, but it's in different ways

Freon Nah, its navy is entirely inferior to the USN. They have zero operational experience; the USN has deep culural memories of real ops & very thorough training at tempo. Their subs are effectively just there to be harvested in any theatre where USN (or RN or RAN) forces operate. This probably won't be fully true in a decade, certainly not in 20 years. Space stations don't fight.

Like a race in which one competitor is the world champion, with a youth team behind, and the other is looking at a 1993 pair of Asics and a pair of cotton running shorts. Timeframe; 10- 25 years.
