And coincidence when politicians shut down industry and force small and medium size business closures and print money like crazy that we get inflation. Read Kamala’s promises for what she will do. Clearly laid out? Saying one will reduce the cost of things like housing / rent while also reducing the "housing shortage" is not a policy. And that's a complicated mix of things to do. Particularly when she's talking about giving first time homebuyers $25,000 to help with a down payment which will (Spoiler Alert) increase housing prices. And if she tries to artificially bring down rent, what you'll see is shittier homes as landlords reduce maintenance budgets for those homes, and fewer entrepreneurs getting into the landlord game, bringing down competition. These are often contradictory goals that individually sound nice, but without laying out the actual policies she will enact (I AM GOING TO END THE HOUSING SHORTAGE is not a policy), it's all bullshit. So what is Trump planning to do to make the economy better Not much. It will be more of the same. Cut taxes on tips? Cut taxes on overtime? Kamala stole the former from him. She must have thought it had merit. |

U.S. oil production has been mostly up not down. And it now produces more oil than any other country. OPEC cuts or increases production according to how it will benefit them. The price of gas around here has decreased by about 20 cents in the last month. The main driver of inflation was the economic upheaval caused by the pandemic. Time usually takes care of inflation, as it has over the last few years. Inflation is no longer at 9% as it was a few years ago, though some people don't seem to realize that. Pols always promise things, they rarely keep them, so I wouldn't be too concerned. Nothing was ruined, we just went through a temporary rough patch. That's the way the economy works. I don't vote; one vote among millions is irrelevant. What is it with math and the left that is so confusing 180 is 25% of 120, right Pete? |
