Wait, what? There are Syrians that want us in Syria? Are they linked to Al Qaeda? Well, we were arming some of AQ's Syrian allies, so probably.

I have never supported Bush or Cheney, precisely because they were neocons.
How many times have I stated on this former and the prior iterations of this forum that I didn't vote for Bush?

Yes, Dick Cheney is an asshole, but one thing this asshole understands is a threat to our national security. Everyone has different reasons for voting for their candidate of choice. Just like those who vote for trump Dick Cheney supported torture and the expansion of executive power to the point of relegating Congressional responsibility on foreign policy matters. But tell me more about how he cares about the Constitution and democracy.
He does not want trumpers to overthrow the government. He does not want trump to sell away our power to Putin.

He does not want trumpers to overthrow the government. He does not want trump to sell away our power to Putin. Right. But he did want to violate our laws (torture) and wanted to undermine our democracy by removing foreign policy responsibilities and oversight from Congress.
So, again, telling me this election is about democracy and then touting an endorsement from Dick Cheney is laughable.
Like this tweet from McFaul is laughable: "It would have been in the past and still remains today, so easy for Trump to say that he disapproves of leaders who start unprovoked wars, annex the territory of their neighbors, or kill their political opponents. But he never has. Why is that?"
Oh, I wonder who that is like.

Do you think that was limey's point? That America has Al Qaeda support in Syria so that our invasion of Syria isn't as bad as other nations' invading sovereign countries? I can't make sense of it.

Cheney has had nothing positive to say about Kamala.. His decision seems obviously a rightful condemnation of Trump more so than an endorsement of Harris ..

Yeah, his statement about no individual being a greater threat to our republic.
That's rich coming from a guy that wanted to neuter Congress on foreign policy, started an unnecessary war with Iraq, and was justifying torture.
Arguably, Cheney did more damage to the Republic than Trump has (I can even remember when people viewed that recount and the SCOTUS decision as undermining democracy).

Probably referring to the Kurds (i.e., SDF) who are selling oil to the Assad regime, which we're supposed to be trying to overthrow.

That is why he is an asshole. I never said he was for democracy. This election is though. I said that people vote for their candidate of choice for different reasons.

Candidates have little control over who endorses them. Dicky endorsed her, so has Bernie. Things balance out.

As an aside, for anyone who has expressed concern about Project 2025, especially vis a vis Trump, look up unitary executive theory and who was a big proponent of that.

Yep and now he's supporting the Democrat nominee. Think about that. Gee, the Republican nominee must be extraordinarily vile. Or more likely the neocon establishment has found a new home. Have fun with that lol.

That asshole was one of the primary instigator to push us into an unnecessary war, based on what he knew were lies, that cost us thousands of lives and billions of dollars. We are still dealing with the ramifications over 20 years later. He absolutely has no understanding of what a threat to our national security is. The reason he is supporting Kamala is because the neocon establishment elite have been pushed out of the republican party for the most part. They have no real power anymore. They are finding themselves a more welcoming home in the Democrat party. You should think about that. Yes, Yes, Yes, all the shit that your sheepish ass supported back in the day. Yep, I learned from my mistake. Now they support Kamala and have become Democrats. 😲

We know you won't think about that ..
Lol a few dozen goobers aren't even in the same galaxy as the destructive nature of Cheney and his buddies, all of whom have embraced Kamala and the Dems. Hell Kamala has even embraced them back. Lmao.
