This is a more dishonest response than even freon ever provides. You kept asking until I provided multiple answers, all with the anticipation of being able to say “HAHAHA CUZ GOD TOLD YOU SO. U R DUMB.” None of it makes sense. Perhaps the most dishonest part is where you keep asserting that I think having kids is awful? I don’t know where you’re getting that straw man. This is truly disgusting. Entertaining somehow, as well. Are you a childless cat lady?
That's been my point the entire time.
I KNOW YOU ARE BUT WHAT AM I HAHAHAH GOT’EM

Easy answer. No. Would it be a bad thing, in your opinion?

The question always avoided in these threads.
But is he wrong?
By many objective measures the lives of women in the United States have improved over the past 35 years, yet we show that measures of subjective well‐being indicate that women’s happiness has declined both absolutely and relative to men. The paradox of women’s declining relative well‐ being is found across various datasets, measures of subjective well‐being, and is pervasive across demographic groups and industrialized countries.
Maybe there's a danger in women wanting to be more like men ... and twistedly tacitly embracing the erroneous idea that being male is superior... Those objective measures seem to be measuring ... manliness.

No. The lefts goal is always the same. Make the state the ultimate authority. That’s tough to do when the family unit is strong. The war started when the left declared raising children is a wasted life. They only recognize reward from bosses or money. A smiling happy child is nothing.

Nothing has taught me the importance of having children more than the last several years.

My daughter and son in law just had a baby girl about 6 weeks ago. She had a successful career and is going to be a stay at home mom. They own a place in San Francisco and also two air b n b’s in florida. They just moved from the place they own in the mission district to a rental in the marina district. They’ll rent out the one is mission district. Just too much crime and homelessness and drug use where they were in the mission district.

Their place in the mission district cost just shy of 2MM. but their building has been broken into quite a few times (homeless rob the postman to get keys to building) and their is a homeless gang a couple blocks down the way. They put one Tenant in the hospital for several months - crowbar to the face. And the city won’t do anything about the gang that’s terrorized that section for three years.

If they stop it, they would have to report the crimes as statistics. Better to leave it alone. It’s a part of the progressive anarcho-tyranny plan.

Why don't you just read the article and find out. Besides why does it even matter when he said it. It was a question directed at Vypr. I already know you won't understand. He is misrepresenting a statement made years ago, taken out of context, and portraying it as if this misrepresentation is part of some current policy agenda now. Vance was having a discussion where he was asked about the corruption within elite educational institutions. He was talking about how they manipulate people into pursuing careers that make them unhappy and then those people ultimately project their unhappiness and misery onto others. That these institutions actively attempt to dissuade people from pursuing what may actually provide real happiness, purpose, and fulfillment. Obviously it was a generalized statement. He mentioned women being dissuaded from having families in order to become slaves to a corporatist system while it is being portrayed as a form of liberation as an example of this corruption. It's an accurate statement. It's not demeaning or an attack on women at all. It's an attack on what is viewed as a corrupt system. There was also not a policy proposal or statement made how to even address it. I'm assuming because it wasn't asked. Vypr, you, and many others are too dense to even bother looking at the context and thinking for yourselves. You've been programmed not to think.

Yet another one who thinks if one doesn’t support government intervention into every single problem, then one hates humanity. It’s so narrow minded and betrays an actual bootlicker mindset. “If you don’t think government should give everybody everything, then you hate humanity!” Lol. Of course, the knowledge that populations were exploding when governments were significantly less powerful makes this all obviously foolish.
Rabbit: "Women, and this may be a surprise to you, are the ones who carry babies in order to continue the species. It’s miraculous and worthy of our entire society’s unflinching support."
Also Rabbit: Yet another one who thinks if one doesn’t support government intervention into every single problem, then one hates humanity.
Maybe you should at least think about not making the government actively hostile towards women.
Then you can decide where a balance lies.
Don't think I haven't noticed you've STILL failed to answer why the species MUST continue!
Fobbit is doing a fascinating job explaining his divorce....

Lol wut? Our hedonistic society is selling pornography and tinder and obesity and SSRIs as an alternative to what we’re wired (by nature or by God) to want. Our continuation is justifiable by Christian, theistic, or secular woo-woo-ism. “We’re the universe waking up”. So far as we know, from an atheist’s perspective, we’re the only being in the universe with consciousness. Perhaps the one and only hope for consciousness to spread across the universe. Only a nihilistic atheist would challenge the value of humanity’s existence. And prefer the cheap thrills of modernity to the traditional and ancient virtues of eons. Either way, it’s those who think like me who will win in the long run. True for animals as well. Those who don’t care about the future of their species have aberrant and defective DNA in that regard. A speed bump.
You have shown very little sign of caring about the future of our species. Only that they are birthed. You have no problem with policies that makes pregnancies riskier. You do not care what happens after birth, maximal suffering is fine with you.
It seems the crux of why you think people should have lots of babies is to "win".
So basically nothing you've provided is convincing evidence in the slightest, and you've shown disdain for human life otherwise, both the mothers and the children.
Now let's talk about your contradiction. There’s no greater joy than having kids. Then you said we're a hedonistic society that doesn't want kids. That makes zero sense.
So why is it important women have 6 kids... you still haven't said.
Essentially you are asking why it is important that life continues on after our own individual deaths. It's really a subjective question. If you don't care about life, or only care about your own life, then it isn't going to matter if life continues after one's death. If you do care about the future, about the well being of future generations, then obviously it is important that the species just doesn't dwindle out. Population loss can have a huge impact on generational well being, health, food availability, war, trade, technological advancement, and civilization in general. Obviously one has to care about the future for any of that to matter.
