Nah, I'm too cheap for Prime etc.
I prefer free TV. One of these days I might actually contribute to the local PBS station again, though. I cut the cable about ten years ago, when digital broadcasts started.
I will however buy DVD's of favorite movies/TV shows.
Just finished binge watching Hanna on prime. Two seasons. Worth the watch Who's Hanna? Or what, maybe? Don't make me Google this. |

Watched a little more of West Side Story. I was reminded in a way of the heated and ultimately violent political battles going on in America since Trump was elected. Not too different from the rumbles between the Jets and the Sharks. And to what end? Looking forward to a return of civilized behavior to the American electorate. It's not nice to set bear traps in public places. |

Tonight the local PBS station is showing another segment of Ken Burn's "The War". Tonight's was the Battle of the Bulge and the liberation of the Philippines.

Local PBS station playing the movie Pleasantville tonight. It's about halfway through now. Very interesting.
I remember the days when all TV was black and white.
It's also cool how they did the cinematography to have scenes a mix of color and black and white.
When I was a child we lived in a small New England town. Not quite Pleasantville, but in a way reminiscent. Then we moved to a big city, and my world changed forever. Oddly, the city to me seemed colorless, and the small town full of hues. Took me a while to get used to the change.
OK back to the movie.

Im a huge Broncos and Red Sox fan (I know everything about MLB). I have to sleep on Sundays, but I can watch night games before I go to work. |

Well, I may have spoken a bit too soon. The local PBS station has, for a couple of weeks, dropped the pledge break free movies on Sat evenings and gone to non-stop pledge breaks in the evenings instead. Must be the season of the year. I expect it will resume normal programming after New Year's.

I watched Citizen Kane as a refresher before watching Mank.
Kane is still great and Mank is not only very good, but it makes Citizen Kane even better.
