I guess his only friends are inanimate objects. Here's a pic of his legless camp oven that he bakes muffins in out by the koi pond. Notice the lovely floor too. |

As usual, CADESCUCK is obsessed with an outdoor photo that shows tree leaves on a cement floor. What a loser CADESCUCK is! By the way, the "legless camping stove" is designed to sit on a picnic table in a campsite. I guess CADESCUCK has never been out of his little apartment so he wouldn't know that. There's a muffin post somewhere. Today I finally got around to testing the Camp Chef outdoor oven/cooktop. It's only supposed to be used out of doors, so I set it up on the outer patio by the koi pond, hooked it up to a 20 lb propane tank, test all the connections with a soapy water spray bottle, and lit it up. Top burners first, and they seem to rock. Then the oven; also rocks. I couldn't detect any off odors of paint solvents etc, which some reported online in reviews. Finally I put the included griddle that fits exactly over both the top burners, and let that rip. It would be good for pancakes or burgers, I suppose. I don't quite see how higher output burners would be needed. If anything, the oven got hotter than some recipes would call for. After it cools down I'll take a closer look and see if there is an ajustment I can make to lower the temp reached at the lowest oven burner output. The oven got up to 400F fairly quickly and stayed there, even at the lowest setting, albeit slightly lower. I used three indicators in the oven: the built in gauge at the top, an mercury filled oven thermometer I use in the main kitchen oven here, and a sort of meat temp thermometer that measures up to 400F. All basically agreed within about 25 degrees, which is enough for a camp site. So the oven basically passed its test. Most likely when I take it out to drive-in campsite I'll be using mainly the top burners and griddle. Not real big on baking stuff out in the wild, but you never know. Heck, it could probably do a good enough job with TV dinners. I'll just need to find a campsite with a freezer. LOL. Here's another view:  |

The new roof is doing just fine.
We had only a few sprinkles in the past week, no leaks. I suppose the final test will be this fall/winter, when the heavier rains come. But from what I can tell, it should be OK.
