The fact that we can weeble and woble through four years of this guy at the helm, tells me our government framework is stronger than any individual's idiocy...as long as we can hit the reset button every couple years. Four years seems to be testing the limits, four more years could be the straw that breaks the republic's back.

The Congress can act the cock-block they need to be, just as they did in '18 (or '10 if you were terrified of Obama). His most dangerous period was the first two years and he squandered all that political capital on stroking his ego instead of actually signing legislation. It's been all downhill for him since.

Regarding the video above: Signing bills and executive orders are pretty much the two most basic functions of his job and he seems not to understand the difference between the two. It's one thing to misspeak and then correct yourself. However, in this video he says something false, restates it correctly (after being prompted) and then attempts to recorrect the correction by saying something that makes no sense, something along the lines of "Pelosi got nominated to the House as a senator." This goes beyond being incapable of admitting he made a mistake. If he understood civics 101, he would know his second attempt at a "correction" made no sense.

The bully pulpit and executive orders are still powerful tools that have generally been held by responsible men. Agent Orange is still testing uncharted territory.

But it's slipping away, right before our eyes. He's fighting old battles (monuments, monuments!) in an effort to recapture the lightning and it's not working. Some of my super Trump friends are even showing cracks and openly lamenting a Biden Presidency. First crack I've seen around here. Not that anything is set in stone, but our current trajectory points to "bye-bye Trump" in November.

It's that double-down, reality bending bullshit that really sets him apart isn't it? LOL! The "make our own reality" swagger can sustain itself only so long.

“Democrat’s” was easy to spot. It took me forever to find the other error as it isn’t visible on the preview. I finally had to go to the Twitter thread. I thought I was somehow misspelling “indefensible” or “privilege” in my head.

I have to be honest, if you’d have asked me whether “bestselling” was one word or two, I’d have had to think about it. But I would not have had to think about how apostrophes work.

Well, if the intent was to indicate more than one member of the Democratic Party, then the use of "Democrat's" is indeed indefensible.
However, I would classify "defense of the indefensible" as belonging to the category of political hyperbole, and as such more an error of judgement than of grammar or logic. Certainly it is no more egregious than "employ the unemployable" or "console the inconsolable"...

Delusional, out of touch with reality is part of the decline line.

Only POSPOTUS could brag about getting so little exercise he resembles a blimp.

I will say what I always say. How much golf a president plays is a non-issue, with one exception. If you complained about how much golf president A played while excusing or ignoring how much golf president B plays, you have earned whatever criticism comes your way. That goes double if you actually are president B.

That goes double if you actually are president B. What about the outright delusional lies about the number of times you've played as opposed to your predecessor? Is that now normal? I’m kind of surprised I need to explain this. I said “how much golf a president plays is a non-issue, with one exception.” That exception being, if you’re going to be a hypocrite about it, then you 100% deserve it if someone criticizes the number of hours you play golf. You did it to the other guy, after all. The number is a non-issue unless you’re a hypocrite about it, then you deserve to be criticized for both the number and the hypocrisy. I didn’t say lying about how much golf you played or literally being delusional about how much golf you played was a non-issue. In those cases, the lie and the insanity are the issue, not the number of hours played. If Trump said he played 3 hours when he actually played 300, but had never criticized anyone else for how much golf they played, I would not care that he played 300 hours and I would tell anyone who did, that the 300 hours was irrelevant. It was the lie or the delusion that was the issue. But if he did complain about how much golf another president played, I would agree that he deserved condemnation for the lie and the number. (He wouldn’t deserve condemnation for literally being delusional as that wouldn’t be his fault, but he should be removed from power if he’s insane).
