What about the outright delusional lies about the number of times you've played as opposed to your predecessor? Is that now normal? I’m kind of surprised I need to explain this. I said “how much golf a president plays is a non-issue, with one exception.” That exception being, if you’re going to be a hypocrite about it, then you 100% deserve it if someone criticizes the number of hours you play golf. You did it to the other guy, after all. The number is a non-issue unless you’re a hypocrite about it, then you deserve to be criticized for both the number and the hypocrisy. I didn’t say lying about how much golf you played or literally being delusional about how much golf you played was a non-issue. In those cases, the lie and the insanity are the issue, not the number of hours played. If Trump said he played 3 hours when he actually played 300, but had never criticized anyone else for how much golf they played, I would not care that he played 300 hours and I would tell anyone who did, that the 300 hours was irrelevant. It was the lie or the delusion that was the issue. But if he did complain about how much golf another president played, I would agree that he deserved condemnation for the lie and the number. (He wouldn’t deserve condemnation for literally being delusional as that wouldn’t be his fault, but he should be removed from power if he’s insane). Thanks for expanding.😜 |

I’ll admit that I have my own biases to overcome just like everyone else, but if there’s an issue I’ve been consistent on for the past 17 years or so that I’ve been on LNF, it’s how I feel about the amount of hours the president spends playing golf or other similar healthy leisure activities designed to relax him and lower his stress. Exhausted, stressed people make mistakes. I know I certainly do. But my mistakes as a teacher are easy to remedy. As a president, that’s often not the case. As long as the president isn’t a hypocrite about it, I’ll defend his golf/basketball/brush clearing/horseback riding, whatever. But if you (the president) are going to be a hypocrite about it, well, that’s on you. I’ll explain my viewpoint, but I have no interest in defending you. |
