Yesterday, the Oakland A's shut out the Houston Astros, 4-0. Yeah!
And today (Tuesday), the A's beat the Astros again, 6-2. Awesome!
Will the A's make it a sweep? Time will tell!

Well, the Houston Astros rallied enough today to win one game out of three. Still, the Oakland A's showed the world they can still play to win. As in winning a majority of the A's vs. Astros series, 2-1.

Silly cuck.
The A's are supposed to be relocating to Vegas sometime in 2024.
But we will still have the Giants.
Who will whip the fat ass of whatever sad team you root for.

The Cubs effectively knocked the Giants out of the playoffs by sweeping them in early September and Oakland has lost the Raiders, Warriors and soon to be A's. Useless has been relegated to a sports carpetbagger. Useless fails again. BTW, Congratulations to the Cellar Dweller Oakland Athletics. 112 Loss Season .309 Winning Percentage 40 Games out of First Place

What do sports teams of a particular location have to do with a poster that you happen to not like?

It would be funny if Las Vegas wins it all in their first season! Now all they need is an NBA team.

It would be funny if Las Vegas wins it all in their first season! Like their NHL team almost did? The Golden Knights went to the Stanley Cup final in their inaugural season.

Wow, that is highly unusual. We attended Knights game a few years ago at T-Mobile Arena. People kept telling us that hockey is an amazing sport to see live. Scott definitely enjoyed it, but I had no idea what was happening half of the time.

People kept telling us that hockey is an amazing sport to see live. Scott definitely enjoyed it, but I had no idea what was happening half of the time. That is a problem with hockey. Understanding two things makes a huge difference: 1) Offside...the puck must precede an offensive player over the opponent's blue line (for example, you can leave one of your players cherry-picking in front of the other team's goalie before you bring the puck over the line, and you can't you skate over the blue line backwards controlling the puck). If you go offside, the play is stopped and the puck dropped...um...somewhere else, in your own zone, I guess. 2) Icing...you can't just dump the puck into your opponents zone. The rule has changed—it used to be if you dumped the puck (shot it all the way to the far side), someone from your team had to touch it before someone from the other team if it crossed the line that runs across the front of the goalie net. If the other team does first, it's "icing." Play stops and restarts in your own zone somewhere (I don't know where). There were so many injuries with players of both teams smashing into the back boards behind the net racing for the puck that they changed the rule...and I'm not sure what it is...maybe if it crosses that back line (the front of the net line) before your team touches it, it's icing. Something like that. But those are the two reasons the play stops "for no apparent reason," and yeah, if you don't know those rules, it's really frustrating to watch.

You read my mind re: the stoppages in play. It must be hard for the referees because the action is so fast. The atmosphere was definitely fun, though. The home fans were incredibly loud and passionate about the Knights.
